The Book of Acts - The Age of the Spirit and the Church" Before Jesus ascended into the heavens he told his disciples to wait for his Holy Spirit to come and bring power into their lives. We are excited to be hosting our fourth summer season of boys and girls lacrosse here at First Friends Church. Started as a high school boys instructional clinic in 2014 that had 18 players attend, the program had grown to a total of 107 players in 2016, which included girls and boys in grades 5th through 12th. We are looking forward to an even bigger group for this 2017 season. The sport of lacrosse is rapidly growing in the Canton area and was recently adopted as an OHSAA sport this past school year. Area schools such as Green, GlenOak, Louisville, Lake, Hoover, Jackson and Central Catholic have teams. Here are a couple prayer requests as we enter this upcoming lacrosse season 1. God would continue to grant us favor in this growing mission field sport in the Canton area 2. That God would personally guide each of our instructors and coaches as they prepare for practices and individual ministry opportunities with their players This league is for boys and girls in second through 12th grade, divided by both skill level and age. For more information how your son or daughter can join this program, visit our website at firstfriendssports.com
