Accountability 1) The individual will be held accountable for personal sin. (Ezek. 18:30) 2) We are accountable for what we believe. (Jn. 3:18) 3) Man will be held accountable for his works, either saved or unsaved. (Rom. 14:10; Matt. 25:31-46; Rev. 20:11-15) Angels 1) Angels do not marry. (Matt. 22:30) 2) Angels are holy. (Acts 4:12) His Life 1) He is the only Man God calls: My Beloved Son a) And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my Beloved Son. (Mk. 1:11) 2) He is the only One who can call God His own Father a) He said that God was His Father (Jn. 5:18). The Greek indicates His own Father consequently, the Jews were able to understand exactly that which the Lord was saying. 3) He is the only one designated as My Servant in whom my soul delighteth a) Behold my servant, whom I uphold... in whom my soul delighteth. The Death Of Christ 1) It was vicarious a) Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust. (1 Pet. 3:18) 2) It was self sacrificing a) He offered up Himself. (Heb. 7:27; 9:7, 14) 3) It was propitiatory a) He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our s only, but also for the sins of the whole world. (1 Jn. 2:2) The Resurrection Of Christ 1) It was evidenced by the vacated tomb. We speak of the empty tomb, but there were clothes left in it, for which we are thankful. However, the Lord vacated it and while I may vacate my house, it is not necessarily empty. a) Come, see the place where the Lord lay. (Matt. 28:6) b) The napkin lying in a place by itself. (Jn. 20:7) 2) He was seen a) She had seen the Lord. (Jn. 20:18) b) He was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, He was seen of about 500 brethren at once (1 Cor. 15:5-6) 3) He had a body a) A spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. (Lk. 24:39) His Coming Kingdom 1) It will be characterized by: a) Judgment i) He cometh to judge the earth. (1 Chron. 16:33; Psa. 96:13; 98:9)... he shall judge the world with righteousness and His people with truth. b) Righteousness and Peace i) In His days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace. (Psa. 72:7) ii) Righteousness and peace have kissed each other. (Psa. 85:10) c) Holiness i) Jerusalem shall be holy. (Joel 3:17) ii) The Lord shall exalt His holy mountain. (Psa. 48:1) iii) The Lord shall reign from the throne of His holiness (Psa. 47:8-9) His Coming Again 1) He will come to the air a) We which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. (1 Thess. 4:17) 2) He will come to the earth a) This same Jesus will so come again. (Acts 1:11) b) His feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives. (Zech. 14:4) c) I know that my Redeemer liveth and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. (Job 19:25) Page 4

The Unborn Child 1) My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret... Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. (Psa. 139:15-16) 2) Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee. (Jer. 1:5) 3) From the bowels of my mother hath He made mention of my name. (Isa 49:1) Lonely 1) God is concerned about his loneliness. (Gen. 2:18) 2) Friends help in times of loneliness. (Eccles. 4:10 11) 3) The Lord will stay with us. (Matt. 28:20) Love 1) We are to love our enemies. (Matt. 5:43 44) 2) Loving God is the most important commandment. (Mk. 12:29 30) 3) Christians must love each other. (Jn. 13:34) 4) We cannot be separated from the love of God. (Rom. 8:35 39) 5) Love must be genuine. (Rom. 12:9) 6) Love helps us move past offenses caused by others. (1 Pet. 4:8) 7) God is love. (1 Jn. 4:16) Money 1) No one can serve God and mammon. (Lk. 16:13) 2) Christians should not be lovers of money. (1 Tim. 3:3) 3) We should look to God for security not money. (1 Tim. 6:17 19) 4) We must be careful how we treat the rich and the poor. (Jas. 2:1 9) Man 1) Adam was the first man and Eve was His wife a) The first man Adam was made a living soul. (1 Cor. 15:45) 2) Man is distinctly different and superior to the animals a) God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. (Gen. 1:26) 3) Both were created for the will and delight of God a) Thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure (will) they are and were created. (Rev. 4:11) 4) Disobeyed God and became the slave of sin and all humanity a) When ye were the servants of sin. (Rom. 6:20) b) By one man s disobedience many were made sinners. (Rom. 5:19) 5) Brought condemnation on all his family a) As by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. (Rom. 5:12) Page 5

Hell 1) It is a literal place called the Lake of Fire a) Both were cast alive into the lake of fire. (Rev. 19:20) b) The devil that deceived them was cast into the Lake of fire. (Rev. 20:10) c) Whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Rev. 20:15) 2) It is a place of torment a) The smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever. (Rev. 14:11) b) I am tormented in this flame. (Lk. 16:24) 3) It is a place of righteous judgment a) Judged every man according to their works. (Rev. 20:13) Heaven 1) It is a place of perfect government a) Rev. 4:2-11. Sin 1) Everyone sins a) There is none righteous no not one, there is none that understandeth, there is one that seeketh after God, they are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable, there is none that doeth good, no not one. (Rom. 3:10-12) 2) Every human is corrupt a) Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet are swift to shed blood: the way of peace they have not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes. (Rom. 3:13-18) Satan 1) Satan is curtailed under God s authority. (Job 1:6 12) 2) Satan is completely evil. (Jn. 8:44) 3) Believers have the authority to resist Satan. (Jas. 4:1 10) 4) Satan seeks to devour the Christians. (1 Pet. 5:8) 5) Jesus destroyed Satan s work with his death on the cross. (1 Jn. 3:7 8) 6) Satan is a defeated enemy. (Rev. 20:10) Stress 1) God is a refuge in their times of stress. (Psa. 62:1 8) 2) Delegating work can relieve stress. (Ex. 18:13 26) 3) God cares about us in our stress. (2 Cor. 4:8 12) Thankfulness 1) We should find the Lord because he is good. (Psa. 107:1; 136:1 3) 2) Be thankful for answers to our prayers. (Psa. 138:1 5) 3) We should be thankful for salvation. (Eph. 2:4 10) 4) Our lives should be characterized by thankfulness to God. (Col. 3:15 17) May God grant us good understanding as He, by his Holy Spirit, deigns to guide us into all truth.
