From Msgr. Frank Chiodo Friends, Notice the photos on the front of the bulletin of our seminarian Max Carson. Max was officially instituted as an acolyte in Rome where he is a student at the North American College. Being instituted as an acolyte constitutes the last step before being ordained a deacon in a year or so. Then he will be, God willing, ordained a priest. We are very proud of Max and we congratulate him and his family. Max is the son of Tim and Margo (Pigneri) Carson. Please remember to pray for Max and for our seminarians. If you would like, drop Max a card to congratulate him. His address is: Mr. Max Carson Pontifical North American College 00120 Vatican City State EUROPE Or email Max at displaycase12@gmail.com I will be in Earling, Iowa to give a three day parish mission this week. Fr. Dolan has invited me to give the parish mission talks. The topic is Divine Mercy and Me. Say a prayer for a fruitful mission. This Annual Diocesan Appeal weekend. Please step up and do your part to once again meet our parish assessment. The diocese assess the appeal amount to each parish according to its revenue etc. This year s goal is $134.635. It is a decrease from last year. We have met with success the past three years. Let s do it again. If everyone does their part we will step up to the winner s box again. Thanks for your generosity. Thanks to Todd Bordenaro for being the chairman of the appeal again this year. Thank you for your generosity!
