Highlights November 19, 2017 Elusive Whisperings: The way of the parable We are exploring the elusive whisperings of this parable and that is a rather challenging thing to do. I m wondering if Matthew is telling us one thing and Jesus is telling us something else? Sunday, November 19 th is the LAST day to submit your order!!

Some little steps individuals can take to create a peaceful planet from the Highlands ESL students Nov. 2017 The following responses came from ESL students when asked Share one small thing you can do that will help create a more peaceful world. We thought they were worth sharing with you. Find peace within yourself first and the rest will follow. Remember we can only change ourselves, not others. Respect codes of conduct and just and ethical laws. Take non-violent action against unjust systems and governments. For example, boycott articles made in a country that violates human rights. Increase awareness about the earth, and practice good environmental habits such as saving energy. When all people have enough of what they need, they will be less likely to turn to violence. Education is a way to understanding others, so seek to educate yourself and your children. Always seek to understand first and not judge. Keep your mind open and accept others differences. Take small steps act and do, rather than just talk. Small things can make a big difference. What we want for ourselves we should desire for everyone. Have a warm heart and practice kindness toward your neighbour. Be content in whatever you do; treasure each moment, and remember life is gift. WOW, we can learn so much from each other!

Please consider loaning your family crèche (3 dimensional, any style/type, or hanging nativity pictures) for our Nativity Exhibit on Friday, December 1 and Saturday, December 2.
