WAQF-E-JADID THE NEW DEDICATION
They who spend their wealth for the cause of Allah, then follow not up what they have spent with taunt or injury, for them is their reward with their Lord, and they shall have no fear, nor shall they grieve. (2:263)
Introduction On December 27th, 1957 The Khalifat ul-masih (II) started the blessed project called The New Dedication (Tehrik e Waqfe Jadeed) Up to 1985 the project was intended mainly for the rural communities of Pakistan. However Hazrat Khalifat al-masih (IV) broadened the scope of this project and now all the countries of the world are within the scope of this plan.
Objectives The primary objective of this Scheme was to look after the spiritual upbringing of the members living in the rural communities of Pakistan The secondary objective was to bring the message of Islam to Hindu population of the country(pakistan) To create a network of Mualimeen(Teachers) who should be wholly devoted to the upbringing of the members throughout the length and breadth of Pakistan.
Purpose. Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih II (ra), had been guided by Allah the Almighty to establish a blessed Scheme whereby religious teachers are available to rural areas of Pakistan to ensure the Tarbiyyat, education and training of Muslims who are generally neglected. At the time of its launch Huzur (ra) not only required funds for the scheme but also wanted those men who had a sound religious knowledge to volunteer their time for the cause of propagation of Islam.
In 1985 when Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV (rha) expanded this scheme to the whole world, all people of the world became recipients of the scheme s benefits. Waqf-e-Jadid is reaping enormous benefit in Africa where scores of Mu alimeen (religious teachers) are undertaking the huge task of training people in the true Islam. This is a huge task and demands a huge sacrifice from each of us.
Importance Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih II (ra), explaining the importance of this blessed Scheme, stated This is the work of God, and it shall certainly be completed. As God has placed this zeal in my heart, I am going to perform this duty even if I have to sell my houses, my clothes. Even if not a single person assists me, God will remove all those who are not helping me and shall cause angels to descend from heavens to lend me support. So, to rest my case, once again I make this call so that people may consider taking part in financial offerings as well as devoting themselves. (January 5, 1957)
How much you can donate? Huzoor issued a directive in 1984 whereby there is no prescribed amount of donation for this blessed initiative; members can donate as much as they want. Children can make financial contributions as well. (If a children donates $75 He/She would listed as a Nunha Mujahid) of saff e daum and who donate $100would be in saff e awwal
Hadhrat Khalifa tul Masih III (Mirza Nasir Ahmad may Allah have mercy on him) particularly encouraged participation among children. Huzur (aba) advised that in addition to children special awareness about the scheme should be raised in those who have entered into Bai at in the last ten years and their participation should be encouraged.
What is Madrassa-Tul-Hifz? It is an institute located in Rabwah which is responsible for training the Mu alimeen, religious teachers (sent to the rural areas of Pakistan) by certifying them with a three year course. With the influx of Waqfeen-e-nau, the school is expanding at a fast rate.
Where money spent? To achieve the objectives of this scheme. Helping and educating poor and needy people. A third of the contributions received by Waqf-eJadid is spent in the countries where it is collected. One portion of the remaining two is spent in Qadian and the rest of India. The remainder in African and some other countries.
A free Waqf-e-Jadid Homeopathy clinic is running in Rabwah. In the last year 19 mosques were built in India funded by Waqf-e-Jadid as well as 23 mission houses. Expenses of Jalsa Gah in Qadian and other projects were also met. Two mosques and two temporary sheds were built in Nepal which is administered by Indian Jama'at.
Hadhrat Khalifa tul Masih V (aba) says These little sacrifices are like dew drops on the garden of Islam that brings in loads of fruit by the grace of Allah. We see that despite being a poor Jama at, the work to spread Islam is being done throughout the world This is because, the people who have made sacrifices try to be among those mentioned in the Quran as the people who spend their wealth to gain the pleasure of Allah
