PARISH EVENTS EIGHT MONTH DEVELOPING BABY: You're in the home stretch with your spiritually adopted baby. He/ She is completely formed, and has been since 8 weeks. All he/she is doing now is gaining weight, and making his/her mother uncomfortable with his/her size. Mom, however, is not worried now. In a short time, her baby will be born. She has planned to bring him/her home, or to place himlher for adoption. Either way, she knows she can receive the assistance she needs from the Catholic Church and from the crisis pregnancy centers. Your baby's mother appreciates the prayers you have said for her and her baby throughout the pregnancy. It hasn't been easy, but your prayers have helped to give her grace to seek the help she needs. HELP THE CULPEPER PREGNANCY CENTER Make your reservation now to attend the 19th Candlelight Fundraising Dessert Reception on Oct 22nd benefiting the Pregnancy Center in Culpeper. The featured speaker is Gianna Jessen, an abortion survivor whose life story was loosely told in the movie "October Baby". It consists of 40 days of prar,er and fasting, community outreach, and constant, peaceful vigil in the public right-of-way outside abortion facilities (Charlottesville). Please pray... and join the peaceful 40 Days for Life effort from September 28-November 6. Encourage your family to be part of the beginning of the end of abortion! PETER'S Join us 7:30-8:30pm each Thursday evening for Holy hour. We begin after the 7pm mass with evening prayer. Archbishop Fulton Sheen explains the importance of the Holy Hour: "Sitting before the Presence (of Our Lord) is like a body exposing itself before the sun to absorb its rays. Silence in the Hour is a tete-a-tete with the Lord. In those moments, one does not so much pour out written prayers, but listening takes its place. We do not say: "Listen, Lord, for Thy servant speaks," but "Speak, Lord, for Thy servant heareth."
