OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY Third Sunday of Lent March 4 2018 Italian National Parish 1668 State Street San Diego, CA 92101 (619) 234-4820 Our Clerics Regular of St. Paul (Barnabite) priests welcome you to celebrate Mass with an open heart and eager desire for our Lord. Message From Our Pastor Father Joseph Tabigue Jesus gets angry upon observing the people who make the Temple a market place. The temple is supposed to be a place of prayer, worship, and thanksgiving to God. Jesus goes beyond the meaning of the temple which is made of stones and other materials and was constructed by human hands into being a temple of the human body (His own Body) the Church; and we are part of that Temple. Therefore as members of Jesus body each one of us is bound to preserve the holiness and sacredness of this temple where the Holy Spirit dwells. For me, prayer is a surge of the heart; it is a simple look turned toward heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy.... Where does prayer come from? According to Scripture, it is the heart that prays.... The heart is our hidden center, beyond the grasp of our reason and of others; only the Spirit of God can fathom the human heart and know it fully.
