Grade Six Prentice Hall: Ancient Civilizations Social Studies/Treasures Correlation In the 6th grade curriculum, students learn about those people and events that ushered in the dawn of major Western and non-western civilizations. Included are the early societies of the Near East and Africa, the ancient Hebrew civilization, Greece, Rome, and the classical civilizations of India and of China. *This document was created for the purpose of helping teachers align the science and social studies programs with California Treasures. These are only suggestions; feel free to use your professional judgment.
