Your generosity not only provides tangible assistance like home repairs but also provides long-term recovery and other expertise to community leaders. World Renew is not the first on the scene, but often the last to leave. Every service World Renew provides is carried out by volunteers (known as Green Shirts) who serve disaster survivors with the love and hope of Christ. Learn more at: www.worldrenew.net/ushurricanes FAMILY SUPPER: A light supper will be provided at church on November 29 for adults and their children, especially those involved in Wednesday evening programming. EXAM PACKS: Would you like to donate items or boxes of items that we can combine to distribute to college students associated with Calvin Church? Please join us in greeting and encouraging our students by donating items like snacks, gum, candy bars, and granola bars. In addition to these types of snacks, things like $5 gift certificates, pens, and decks of cards are also great ideas. Be creative! We will plan to fill the packages in December, and then send them out the week of exams for each particular student. Donations can be placed in the church office by December 3. Many thanks! CAMPUS HOLIDAY SHOPPE: It is that time of year to help our neighboring school and their families with gifts for their children. Campus requires parents to attend conferences and parent meetings in order to shop at the holiday store. We welcome your contributions of money or toys. The children range from K-5th grade so don t forget the older children. We are looking for dolls of color, arts and crafts sets, sports equipment, superhero stuff, and other kid friendly items. We will be collecting donations through next Sunday, December 3. Checks can be made out to Calvin Church and given to Jan Wilkins. Thanks for your support of this well-appreciated project at our partner school Campus Elementary. FESTIVAL CHOIR: If you love to sing, please consider joining this year s Festival Choir to sing in our annual Candlelight Service on December 17. The choir will rehearse on three Wednesday nights (November 29, December 6, and December 13) from 7:30-9:00 PM in the church balcony. The time commitment is small and the rewards are great. If you have any questions, talk to Ken Bos or any Sanctuary Choir member. CALLING ALL INSTRUMENTALISTS!! The Calvin Church Orchestra will be playing the first Sunday of Advent, December 3 to begin the season with a joyful sound! Please join us if you are able.
