FACILITY IMPROVEMENT CAPITAL CAMPAIGN Parish Center Addition and Renovation Dear Parishioners, It has been a tremendous blessing to have been assigned to such a wonderful and supportive Parish. I am deeply impressed by the love and affection that you have for our Lord. Thank you for all you have done for our Parish. Thank you also for your ongoing support of the Parish Center Capital Campaign. The success of this campaign will help us better live out our mission of knowing, loving, and serving Christ. So far, we have received over $2,345,000 in pledges, and $1,550,000 has been collected. Also, below is an update as to the latest developments on this campaign: What has been going on? The Parish Center Committee has been spent the past several months finalizing the construction document set which will guide our builders through the details of the construction process. County approval is almost complete and the project will go out to bid very soon. We have met with the architect and have designed what will be a truly beautiful place in which Christ will be adored. What to expect in the next few months? After the bid process is complete, we will begin construction. Once our contractor has coordinated with the diocesan construction office and county we will provide an update on the construction schedule. During construction, office functions will likely be located in a temporary trailer and meeting space will be shared with St. Timothy School. Again, God reward you for your great generosity. I remember all of you in my daily prayers and I am most grateful to God for you. With every best wish, I remain, Sincerely yours in Christ, Rev. David P. Virginia Catholic Conference Voter Education Resources On November 7, Virginians will elect their governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general. To help voters prepare for these elections the Virginia Catholic Conference has compiled three separate side-by-side comparisons of the positions of candidates for state offices. The Conference, which represents Virginia s bishops on public policy matters, neither supports nor opposes candidates for public office. As they consider these races and also local House of Delegates races, voters are encouraged to form their consciences by consulting the Four Principles of Catholic Social Teaching. These materials can be found at www.arlingtondiocese.org/2017virginia election/. Spanish translations are available. October 29, 2017 St. Timothy Catholic Church 73

This giving support has positively impacted our people in the Holy Land and had greatly helped them to remain strong in the land of Christ. By visiting your church, we were also able to spread our message to your parish community. The opportunity you gave us to speak about the plight of the Christian community in the Holy Land and the difficult situation and hardships that our people are now enduring in the land of our Savior was invaluable. Such opportunity give our people hope. We have been fortunate to have the chance to try to make a real difference in the lives of so many Christians in the Holy Land, and by your efforts we helped the community to remain strong in the Land of Christ. Once again, please accept our sincere appreciation for all your work. We look forward to visiting your parish again.
