For children 5 yrs old or younger who are not able to sit through the church service, there is a nursery downstairs, or a glassed-in room behind the sanctuary where you may sit with your baby and still follow the service. If you feel a sense of belonging, you are most welcome to be with us. TODAY: Young Adults Pizza Lunch- in the gym after the Worship service. Bring your family and friends for pizza and fellowship! JOYS & CONCERNS: Tuesday evening, Franz Neufeld passed away. Visitation will be held this afternoon at Tallman Funeral Home in Vineland, from 2-5 p.m. The funeral service will be held here on Monday, May 4 th at 10:30 a.m. A choir will participate in this service. If you are able to participate in the choir, please attend the practice prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. in the Choir Room. Our prayers are with the family during this time of loss. May the comforting peace of Jesus surround them at this time. Thank you for your prayers for Justine Reimer who is recuperating well at home after a fall and subsequent hospital stay. We thank God that she is not suffering any serious side effects. In response to the tragic earthquake in Nepal last weekend, MCC is welcoming donations to aid in providing relief to those affected. If interested in supporting this mission, please kindly mark Nepal on your offering envelope. MCC is thankful in praising God for the safety of all MCC service workers and national staff. Please partner with them, in praying for the people of Nepal and those affected in neighbouring countries.

Please take this opportunity to donate your pocket change to this fundraiser. All funds collected will be passed along to MCC at the Relief Sale at the end of the month. Please note that this campaign replaced the former Penny Power in response to our country phasing out the penny. Ladies breakfast at Lawrenceville- Thursday, May 7 th. All ladies are welcome! NUMC's Pork-on-a-Bun project at MCC Relief Sale in New Hamburg: Saturday May 30 th! Please sign up with Joachim Dau ajdau@vaxxine.com to volunteer for this very special and fun project. It takes many hands to raise approx. $10,000 each year for MCC! Please donate to this project, with your funds marked "Pork Project" on your donation envelope. Bus Tour - June 9-12 th, has been planned by CAA-Tuxedo to visit Ohio's Amish Country. For details see the poster on the bulletin board. A volunteer is needed for our live-streaming over the internet. This person is required to activate the stream on the computer before service begins, and then stop the stream after the Worship Service. Only basic computer knowledge is necessary and training is provided for the specific details. If you are willing to help, please contact the church office. CHURCH COUNCIL NEWS: 1. We would like to thank Trudy and Art Hildebrand for their 13 years of service. They have decided to retire and are moving to Pleasant Manor. We are looking for a Church Custodian to replace them, effective June 1 st. Please find the complete job description available on our website: redbrickchurch.ca. Interested applicants can email NUMC.custodian@gmail.com, mail or drop off their resumes to the church office, Attention: Church Council Chair. The deadline for applications is May 8, 2015.

2. The Church has been informed by the Technical Safety Standards Authority [TSSA] that our elevator is no longer in compliance with Ontario safety standards. This order is effective May 1, 2015. To upgrade to the new standards, major work is needed at an approximate budget of $30,000. We are proceeding with obtaining quotes and determining the next course of action. There is currently only $ 12,000 in our Capital Fund. Please mark your donations Capital Fund to support this need. MENNONITE CHURCH CANADA: More Than Gold - Pan Am and Para Pan Am Games, Summer 2015 - Ontario Have you heard about More than Gold 2015? Are you someone who is not attending Mennonite World Conference? Here is an opportunity to help out with Pan Am Games (July) and the Para Pan Am Games (August). Mennonite Church Canada recommends the "More Than Gold" church-based voluntary service opportunity for pastors able to be chaplains; local home stay hosts for athlete s families and volunteers; on-site hospitality, community festivals. MENNONITE CENTRAL COMMITTEE: Families are Suffering As violence in Syria continues, families are being forced to flee their homes and seek shelter in nearby towns. When the fighting moves there, they must flee again, with nothing but their official papers and the clothes on their backs. These families need safety, shelter, and basic essentials. You can help MCC respond with compassion to those who are suffering. Here s What You Can Do- Gather your friends. Gather your family. Gather everyone you know. Let s drop what we re doing, rally together, and raise $10,000 to help children and families who are displaced by violence in Syria s brutal, ongoing civil war. MENNONITE WORLD CONFERENCE: Anabaptists from around the world are coming to the United States for Global Assembly this July but first they need to get visas! As thousands of Canadians prepare to witness for life on Parliament Hill at the annual March for Life, we need to pray for the most vulnerable among us. Over 100,000 unborn children are aborted in Canada every year. Canada, along with North Korea and China, are the only countries in the world that have no legal protection for children before birth. Pleasant Manor Memorial Service will take place on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Creekview Meeting Room. We invite family and friends to join us for a time of remembering and sharing. Mennonite Disaster Service has a service opportunity for the whole family. Families of children and adults of all ages are encouraged to serve together building cabins for a week at Camp Elim near Swift Current, Saskatchewan between August 3-28. OMMC is a wonderful opportunity for youth age 12 to 16 to form friendships, enhance their musical abilities, grow in their faith, and develop leadership skills.
