King Cyrus, President Trump, Ayatollah Khamenei and Bible Prophecy By Bill Salus This article has been taken from an Iran Alive Ministries TV script. The TV program is hosted by Dr. Hormoz Shariat and features the prophetic teachings of Bill Salus. The show will be broadcast live in Iran and Afghanistan on the celebration of Iran s most important holiday called NOWRUZ, which literally means new day. NOWRUZ is the name of the Iranian new year, which is celebrated worldwide by the Iranians, along with some other ethno-linguistic groups, as the beginning of the New Year. It has Persian and religious Zoroastrian origins and has been celebrated for over 3,000 years. Iranian What could happen in IRAN in the NEW YEAR? Can we know? To answer these questions, we will direct our attention to the only book in the world that can tell us the future with precise accuracy. That book is called, THE BIBLE! The God of the Bible makes the bold claim that HE is the only God and that His ability to predict the future with 100% accuracy is proof of this. Isaiah 46:9-10 says, Remember the former things of old, For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,

In addition to miraculously predicting the future, the Bible presents good news for Iranians. Did you know that someday the God of the Bible, the KING of the UNIVERSE, will set HIS THRONE in Iran? This is promised in Jeremiah 49:38. That is great news, but there s more good news and this is very personal for every Iranian watching this program. The prophet Jeremiah also says in Jeremiah 29:11-14, that the God of the Bible has a spectacular plan for everyone who has faith in Him. Jeremiah says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me, the God of the Bible, and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. (This is speaking to each one of you watching). And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. AND, I will be found by you, says the LORD. This is a fact! Many Iranians have searched for and found the Lord, the God of the Bible. They have looked for HIM, they have called out to HIM and HE has listened to them. HE has heard their cries. The LORD has dried up their tears. HE has answered their prayers. HE has given them a future filled with hope. The LORD has performed miracles and healings in Iran! He has given many Iranians special dreams and visions. The LORD is very busy at work making many Iranians know that HE is their GOD and that HE loves them! This is the great news for Iranians. This is not a new reality in Iran. The truth is that the God of the Bible has been involved with Iran for thousands of years. Iran is mentioned in the Bible as Elam and Persia. There are Bible verses that talk about the king called Chedorlaomer of Elam that ruled Elam about 4000 years ago when Abraham was alive. Abraham is a very famous historical person. The three main religions of the

world, Judaism, Christianity and Islam all trace their origins back to Abraham. But, by far, the most famous Iranian King identified in the Bible is CYRUS THE GREAT, the KING of PERSIA. He is one of the most famous Kings in the Bible. He is so popular that a religious group in Israel, known as the Sanhedrin, is minting a special coin with King Cyrus on it for their 70-year anniversary this year. The coin will also have the face of US President Donald Trump on it because the Israelis are thankful to both King Cyrus and President Trump for being so helpful to Israel. Yes, that s right, an Iranian King was loved by the Jewish people long ago. Today, Israel is upset with Iran s leaders, but 2600 years ago, things were different between the Jews and the Iranians. Let s read what the Bible has to say about this past positive relationship between the Jews and Iranians. King Cyrus was involved in one of the Bible s greatest predictions. He was known by the Jews even before he was born. This is because around 2700 years ago the prophet Isaiah predicted that a King named Cyrus would come to deliver them from bondage. Isaiah made the prophecy around 720 BC, but Cyrus wasn t born until around 600 BC. This is over a century later. How can this be? How could the prophet Isaiah know this? The only way he could know this is because his GOD, the GOD of the BIBLE, knows the future. We are going to read Isaiah s prophecy about Cyrus to show how his true story of the past can prove to us what Iran s true story for the future will be. Because King Cyrus did what the Bible predicted in the past, then we can trust that what the Bible predicts for Iran s future. There are two major

future predictions for the nation of Iran and we will also briefly explain them to you. First, we will talk about Cyrus the Great King of Persia. His story begins before he is even born. We begin with Isaiah 44:26-28: The God of the Bible confirms the word of His servant, And performs the counsel of His messengers; Who says to Jerusalem, You shall be inhabited, To the cities of Judah, You shall be built, And I will raise up her waste places; What this verse says is that Jerusalem will be inhabited and the cities of Judah, which are in Southern Israel will be built because there would be waste places or destroyed territories. That s interesting, because when Isaiah said this, Jerusalem was already inhabited, and the cities of Judah were already built and there were no destroyed territories in Judah. This means that the prophet Isaiah was making a future prediction. He was predicting that in the future the Jews would be forced to leave Jerusalem and the cities of Judah would be destroyed. These cities would need to be rebuilt. This happened around 586 BC when the Babylonian Empire destroyed Jerusalem and the cities of Judah. The Jewish temple was destroyed, and the Jewish people went into captivity for 70 years. Isaiah had already died, and Cyrus was only a young boy at the time. Isaiah 44:27-28 says, and this is still over a century before Cyrus was born, Who says to the deep, Be dry! And I will dry up your rivers ; Who says of Cyrus, He is My shepherd, And he shall perform all My pleasure, Saying to Jerusalem, You shall be built, And to the temple, Your foundation shall be laid. These verses predict that Cyrus would be the King that performed the pleasure of the Lord. Cyrus would be the world leader that deliversed the Jews from the Babylonian bondage and sent them back to their homeland to inhabit Jerusalem and rebuild the destroyed cities of Judah.

This happened around 539 BC when King Cyrus and the Persian Empire conquered the Babylonians. Isaiah predicted that the rivers would dry up so that Cyrus could win the victory. According to history this is what happened! The Persians diverted a canal that flowed beneath the walls of Babylon. This created a dry riverbed and enabled the Persian army to penetrate the walled city and defeat the Babylonians. Isaiah continued his predictions about Cyrus in Isaiah 45:1-5. In these verses Isaiah says, The Lord calls Cyrus HIS anointed. The Lord says that HE will lead Cyrus to great victories over nations. The Lord says that HE will give Cyrus great treasures and riches. The Lord reminds Cyrus that he was called by his name before he was even born. The Lord says that this special treatment was for the sake of Israel so that Cyrus would deliver them from their bondage and send them back to their homeland. This is what happened. When Cyrus was told about these predictions by the prophet Isaiah, King Cyrus was humbled and became a believer in the God of the Bible. Ezra 1:2-3 tells us what King Cyrus said Cyrus king of Persia declares: All the kingdoms of the earth the LORD God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah. Who is among you of all His people? May his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel (He is God), which is in Jerusalem. When you study the details of Isaiah s prophecy about Cyrus and compare them to the historical events, you recognize that Isaiah predicted the future with complete accuracy. So, if the Bible predicted the story of Cyrus, then we can trust the other prophecies about Iran in the Bible. At the beginning of this program we asked the questions, what could happen in IRAN in the NEW YEAR? Can we know? The answer is yes,

we can know about the future of Iran, if the Bible gives us that information. We can rely on this information because of the example of King Cyrus. The question is; what does the Bible predict about the future of Iran? King Cyrus was in the past. But, does the Bible predict about the leaders of Iran in the future? The answer is yes, the Bible speaks about a time when the Lord will be fiercely angry with the leaders of Iran. The God of the Bible was not angry with Cyrus, but these future leaders are very bad. Remember, one of the reasons the Lord was happy with Cyrus, was because King Cyrus was good for Israel. Let me ask you today; Are the present leaders of Iran good for Israel? The answer is NO! Ayatollah Khamenei has stated that he wants to destroy Israel. On April 14, 2015, Ayatollah Khamenei issue a 9-point plan to destroy Israel. Brothers and Sisters in Iran, I want to tell you about a prophecy that has important information for Iranians to know. It could be a prophecy for our generation that was written about 2600 years ago. It has good news for Iranians that believe in the God of the Bible, but extremely bad news for those who don t. The prophecy is written in Jeremiah 49:34-39 and it is dealing with the ancient territory of Elam (refer to the map image). Jeremiah wrote about Elam around 596 BC. Approximately 10-years later,

Ezekiel issued what seems to be an entirely different prophecy about Persia in Ezekiel 38. Elam is on the western side of Iran by the Persian Gulf. Persia was geographically separated from Elam by the Zagros Mountains. The image below provides an encapsulation of Jeremiah s prophecy concerning Elam. The Lord gets fiercely angry with the leaders of Iran in this prophecy, which I believe is the case today. Because of His fierce anger He brings about a disaster in Elam. The disaster appears to be of a nuclear nature. Below is a summary of the events that take place. SUMMARY OF THE ELAM PROPHECY DETAILS The Lord will; 1. bring disaster upon them, My fierce anger, 2. destroy from there the king and the princes, 3. break the bow of Elam, The foremost of their might, 4. bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, 5. scatter them toward all those winds, (worldwide), there will be no nation where the outcasts of Elam will not go, 6. cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies and before those who seek their life, 7. send the sword after them Until I have consumed them, 8. set My throne in Elam, 9. and, (in the latter days) bring back the captives of Elam. For more detailed information and explanations about the prophecy of Elam, read the Bill Salus book entitled, Nuclear Showdown in Iran, Revealing the Ancient Prophecy of Elam.
