F O C U S O N Youth Ministry at First UMC January 31, 2016 tricia Lindley, Director of Children & Youth Ministry This Sunday we celebrate and worship our wonderful God, while being led by our youth, those in grades 6-12. The youth program at First UMC is a safe, Christ-centered environment where youth can gain tools to help them explore and grow in their faith. Activities are designed to nurture relationships and build a strong, loving community. This is a place of acceptance, outreach and spirituality. We have many different opportunities for the youth of our church to participate and grow in God s love and grace. We have our Sunday evening United Methodist Youth Fellowship meeting from 6:15 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Our youth participate as Lay Lectors, Acolytes and Crucifers during our Sunday morning worship at 10 a.m. Additionally, we have our Youth Service Project every summer where we serve for a week doing home repairs or re-building across the nation. The youth ministry at First United Methodist Church is an important part of the life of our church community. Our youth continue to inspire us and lead us all in their discipleship of Jesus Christ.
