Visit Luther s birthplace and the house where he died, both located in the town of Eisleben. We will visit Erfurt where Luther went to school and see the Augustinian monastery where he became a monk. You will be able to visit the medieval Wartburg Castle, set on a mountaintop overlooking the city, where Luther lived in disguise and translated the New Testament into the German language. In the city of Zurich, we will visit key reformation sites including the Grossmunster, where Ulrich Zwingli preached during the early Swiss Reform movement; the Auld Stadt (old city); and the Guild Hall and Museum, which has displays and art from the Swiss Reformation. While in Zurich we will also visit sites important to the beginning of the Anabaptist Movement. We will visit Geneva, where John Calvin and John Knox carried on the work of reform. While in Geneva we will visit sites in the old town area, including St. Peter s Cathedral where Calvin preached, as well as other places in this beautiful city. Our tour also includes visiting numerous interesting sites while in historic Berlin, including Charlottenburg Castle, Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, the Reichstag Building, the Brandenburg Gate, remains of the Berlin Wall, and much more.
