This year set some goals that will improve your life. Inside this booklet are 12 months of goals that will help build spiritual strength as well as goals for every day life. Each month choose a certain number of goals that you would like to acheive, whether it be the goals provided in this booklet or goals that you have decided on your own. As you make goals and achieve them you will begin to see a change in your life in many ways. When a goal is completed mark it off by placing an x or check mark in the circle beside the goal. Feel free to make your own goals using the Personal Goals space at the bottom of each page. The Lord will helps us reach our goals and our potential as we prayerfully plan and achieve our goals. I hope you use this booklet to set some goals for yourself, and make 2018 an excellent year!

January Wishing will not make it so. The Lord expects our thinking. He expects our action. He expects our labors. He expects our testimonies. He expects our devotion October When performance is measured, performance improves. September Set high goals for yourself, and be willing to work hard to achieve them. A life that gets out of balance is much like a car tire that is out of balance. It will make the the operation of the car rough and unsafe. Tires in perfect balance can give a smooth and comfortable ride. So it is with life. The ride through mortality can be smoother for us when we strive to stay in balance. Our main goal should be to seek immortality and eternal life. -Richard G Scott Prepare yourself spiritually to partake of the Sacrament Complete a Virtue Personal Progress experience Find ways to strengthen your family this month (speak kindly, serve, FHE, etc.) Read the New Era from cover to cover Pray daily Watch a Mormon Message every day for 2 weeks Strive to be more steadfast in living the gospel Go to bed early and wake up early Plan a family outing to a museum, a play, or a concert Make a plan for the upcoming school year to improve your study habits Plan a day at the pool, lake, or beach Go on a walk Go one whole day without using an electronic device Grab blankets and pillows and plan a night of star-gazing

July Set short-term goals that you can reach. Set goals that are well balanced--not too many nor too few and not too high nor too low. Write down your attainable goals and work on them according to their importance. Pray for divine guidance in your goal setting. April...Lifetime goals take focus and time to achieve. Making these goals is not enough; we must make a plan to carry them out. Tonight or tomorrow, ponder what you want to achieve in your life and what your goals should be. Take the time to write them down and review them...then spend a few hours asking yourself what you can do to accomplish these goals today, tomorrow, next week, and in months ahead. -M Russell Ballard Prepare yourself spiritually to partake of the Sacrament Complete Integrity Experience #2 (or another Integrity experience) Visit the LDS Youth website and read about finding peace in Christ Work on strengthening a weakness (ex. scripture study, prayer, gossiping) Only listen to, watch, and read uplifting things that invite the Spirit Write in your journal at least twice a week this month Strive to live in a way that you have the companionship of the Holy Ghost Plan or attend a BBQ with family and friends Read a book Write down a favorite moment from each day Visit a park Leave an anonymous note for someone Don t watch television for a whole day Improve your ability to manage your time more wisely -Robert D Hales Watch or listen to all sessions of General Conference Study the scriptures daily: find examples of how people found peace in Christ Complete a Knowledge Personal Progress experience Pray daily Work on strengthening a weakness (ex. scripture study, prayer, gossiping) Read an article in the New Era Strive to be more humble this month Call a friend or family member you haven t talked to lately Skip the sweets and eat fruits and veggies every day for a week Take care of yourself: brush your teeth, wash your face, wash your hair, etc. Budget: put some money in savings for your mission/school Visit the library Take time to work on the skill/hobby you wanted to learn Write something you love about yourself in your journal every day

May Please don t nag yourselves with thoughts of failure. Do not set goals far beyond your capacity to achieve. Simply do what you can in the best way you know how and the Lord will accept your effort. - Gordon B Hinckley June Without a goal, there can be no real success. One of the best definitions of success I have ever heard goes something like this: success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.
