From the East Brethren, I would like to start off by thanking all that was present during the official visit of Right Worshipful W. Robert Brammer DDGM for the 8th Masonic District. Also in attendance was Worshipful Master George Schneider of Kilwinning Crosse Lodge No. 2-237, Worshipful Master Christopher Merse of Hudson-Morris Lodge No. 80, and Worshipful Master William Delaney of Frank P. Moncure Lodge No. 279. As always we started the night with Fellowship in the Baker Room where Amaranth Court No. 7 prepared and served a delicious Spaghetti dinner for the Brethren and Guest. We had a very busy night by first presenting Brother Kevin Valentine our Junior Deacon with his LMIP and then presenting Worshipful Brother James Ragsdale with a gift from the 2016 Officers where he received a standing ovation from the Brothers. We had several request for the George Washington Bible starting with Washington-Henry Lodge No. 344 located in Mechanicsville, VA for the 13th of February 2017, George Washington Masonic National Memorial Association located in Alexandria, VA for the 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25th of February 2017, and from the Scottish Rite Richmond Valley for 27th of February 2017. The lodge voted for and approved the travel of the George Washington Bible to these locations. Our month of January was even busier starting with Most Worshipful Stuart Cook's official visit to the 8th Masonic District on the 21st of January which was a pleasure and honor being in attendance of such event. In addition of our Fraternal Visits of Edward H. Cann Daylight Lodge 1732, Kilwinning Crosse 2-234, Hudson Morris 80, Ashland 168 and Frank P. Moncure 279 we had a Fraternal Visit to Dale City Lodge 319 and had the privilege of providing a program. We also had to start degree work a little earlier then we planned since we are looking at 5 candidates that have started or going to start their journey within the Craft. In addition, I would also like to thank the Appended Bodies and all that provide donations for the new refrigerator which will be a great improvement along with the kitchen improvement once it is complete. Are next goal is getting a chair-lift along with upgrading the Ladies restroom into a Unix-sex Handicap restroom. Table Lodge Fredericksburg Lodge No 4. Table Lodge will be June 10th, 2017 celebrating the Holy Saints John. The Table Lodge will be from 6:30 to 7:30 and is open to all Masons. Looking into the future our February is going to be just as busy, starting with a Fellowcraft Degree in the Old Lodge Room on the 1st of February starting at 7:00 PM. Our Stated Communication is on the 10th of February starting with a Chili Cook Off by the Brothers, the winning Chili will receive a free ticket to the June's Table Lodge. I have some sad news, I must say that Lady Riza wanted to make Lumpia for the Brothers but I told her she couldn't because we were having Chili, however the good news is she will be Meal Ticket Fredericksburg Lodge No 4 will again offer Meal Tickets to members and guest up until February. If meal ticket is purchased the Table Lodge Ticket will only be $25.00 vice $35.00. Dues Update Thank you to all those members that paid their dues so promptly (71 members - 41.5% have paid $12,961.22 100 members have not paid and owe $19,500.00). All dues paying members have been sent an email or mailed an invoice for their 2017 dues. Please let me know if you need a replacement. There are a few who have not paid yet, but I'm sure they will get their check for $195.00 in the mail in the next day or two. If for some reason, you may have difficulty paying your dues, please call the Worshipful Master or Secretary. If we don't know, we can't help. In addition, following the Wednesday Degree with the exception on nights that a Master Mason Degree is conferred there will be class covering the Master Mason Catechism.
