Her diaries for the year 1809 and 1810 give an insight into her preaching appointments, the distances she travelled to take services and the people she met and heard, Charles Wesley Junior s Copy of the Life of M. de Renty James Dale Whilst researching in the Cambridge University Library Rare Book Room a copy of The Holy Life of Monr. De Renty translated by E. Sheldon and comparing it with John Wesley s abridgment An Extract of the life of M. de Renty comments in ink opened up a new facet of the Wesley family. One of the ink written comments is Like my uncle John s Methodist classes.
