THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB Revelation 19:1-10 REMEMBER, THE CHURCH WAS RAPTURED IN CHAPTER 4. Come on up! REVELATION 4:1 IT WAS THE SAME KIND OF VOICE THE BIBLE SAYS WILL RAPTURE THE CHURCH. 1 THESSALONIANS 4:17: we shall be caught up together with them 1 CORINTHIANS 15:50-52: at the last trumpet
2. ABOUT THE WORD RAPTURE One reason for confusion on this is that the word RAPTURE is not in our English Bibles. This is correct, but only to a point. The word RAPTURE is not in English translations of the Bible. It is an English version of a word that appears in Latin translations. Greek: HARPAZO ; Latin: RAPTURO ; English: CAUGHT UP snatched or taken by force Keep in mind that most of the New Testament was written in GREEK, which was then translated into LATIN, and then to ENGLISH. So the description of rapture is soundly biblical.
3. FIRST WORSHIP IN HEAVEN v. 1 CHAPTER 19 has a few different groups of people shouting out praises unto the Lord, BECAUSE HEAVEN IS A PLACE OF WORSHIP. WORSHIP IS BORN OUT OF A RELATIONSHIP FOR EXAMPLE, IN MARRIAGE: Do you have to force yourself to say nice things about him or her, to sing their praises to others? I HOPE NOT! Do you have to force yourself to come home at night from work to be near them? I HOPE NOT! We sing the praises of our spouses because we love them, the same is true for our relationship with Jesus.
4. WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE? I believe REV. 7:9-17 told us they are the tribulation saints that have been martyred for their faith in Jesus Christ during the tribulation period, along with the Old Testament saints, the Church, and the angels. The word ALLELUIA comes from two Greek words: HALLEL which means PRAISE JAH which is a contraction of the name JEHOVAH So the literal interpretation of this word is PRAISE THE LORD!
5. WHY ARE THEY SHOUTING THIS OUT? v. 2-3 God is both kind and severe: He has not only saved mankind out of their sin by His mighty hand, but He is also going to pour out His judgment upon those who have rebelled against Him. WE NEED NOT ASK THE QUESTION, WHY, LORD, IS YOUR JUDGMENT ON SIN SO BRUTAL? BUT RATHER, WHY, LORD, ARE YOU SO PATIENT AND LONGSUFFERING WITH US? 2 PETER 3:9 1 THESS. 5:18 TELLS US THAT IN EVERYTHING NOT FOR AS YOU ARE GOING THROUGH THE TOUGH TIMES, PRAISE THE LORD!
6. TWO MORE GROUPS JOIN IN v. 4-9 We met these two groups in CHAPTER 4, now they are shouting out Amen! Alleluia! Or, So be it! Praise the Lord! Then the voice of Jesus calls for all of heaven to join in the worship, all of heaven praising the all-powerful God. It is like the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel s Messiah, only with the volume turned way, way up! THE JOY OF THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB FOR THE BRIDE OF CHRIST! 2 COR. 11:2, EPH. 5:32
7. THE THREE PHASES OF A JEWISH WEDDING 1. THE MARRIAGE CONTRACT JOHN 15:16 2. THE BETROTHAL EPHESIANS 1:13-14 3. THE BRIDEGROOM COMES JOHN 14:2-3 IN A SPIRITUAL SENSE, WE SEE THIS SAME RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE LORD AND HIS BRIDE THE CHURCH. We get our wedding dress after the rapture of the church at the judgment seat of Christ, or the BEMA seat, where the believers will be rewarded for the work we have done. 2 CORINTHIANS 5:9-10 Just as ISAIAH 61:10 tells us.
8. GOD ALONE IS WORTHY v. 10 THE TRUTH IS, GOD ALONE IS TO BE WORSHIPED! We are not to worship any other person, place or thing ever. NOT ANY SAINT, NOR ANGEL NOT MARY, NOR ANYONE ELSE EXCEPT THE LORD! John makes that mistake falling down at the angel s feet and he is quickly corrected. IS JESUS GOD? Yes, He absolutely is. HEBREWS 1:6, PSALM 40:7, JOHN 5:39-40, 1 JOHN 5:10

If you reject Jesus, you make Him a liar because the Scriptures testify that He is the way, He is the truth, and He is the life, and without Him you will never get to heaven.
