From our Pastor: Brothers and Sisters in Christ, The Book of Acts records the great work of the Holy Spirit through the Apostles in the churches of that region. People of various backgrounds, both Jews and Gentiles, came together in worship as followers of Jesus. Acts 16:5 says, So the churches were strengthened in the faith, and they increased in numbers daily. Over nearly 9 years, the Holy Spirit has worked actively here at Living Savior as well. We have been witnesses of God s grace in Jesus and have seen how our numbers have steadily increased throughout the years from an average attendance of about 35 at the beginning to a current average of 147. When a sanctuary is nearing 70% seating capacity, it goes beyond feeling cozy to feeling full. On a regular basis I see people walking into our sanctuary searching for a place to sit together as a family. This expansion of our church will not only allow for a more open worship setting with plenty of seating, but will also include weekly needs such as a narthex (gathering area), bathrooms and nursery all within the same building. In addition, the new parking and elevator will provide easier and safe access to both floors of the unified buildings. I urge you to consider the many advantages of this well-thought-out proposal, to ask questions, to pray for the Lord s guidance as we move forward together and to support this needed expansion for God s Kingdom here in Montgomery. Peace in the name of Jesus, Pastor Bailes If you have any questions: Please feel free to contact any member of the Long Range Planning Committee if you have any questions.
