"A casual gathering where we can have a glass of wine, socialize, hear a brief presentation, and ask questions in order to gain a deeper understanding of our faith." First Monday of the Month, unless noted otherwise 7:00pm - 8:30pm OUR HISTORY: The Young Adults (20's and 30's) have a program, Theology On Tap. When we started the "Adult Community" at St. Brigid, we wanted to provide our members with a casual evening were we could learn more about our faith while also meeting fellow Catholics in our age bracket. Langille has been teaching and leading both Centering Prayer and Taize Prayer in our diocese and throughout the region for many years. April 2010 May 2010 off Easter Speaker: Joe Lonergan Topic: Forgiveness...Unresolved Pain and Forgiveness About the Topic: Many of us walk throughout life holding onto some unresolved pain or grief. Most of this is done unconsciously and affects who we are called to be and the relationships that we are in and out of. There is a reason that 2/3 of Jesus' sayings and half his parables are directly or indirectly about forgiveness. How can we forgive ourselves and others? How does this powerful gift given to us have the ability to transform our lives and open us up to being more awake to what we are called to be? About the Speaker: Joe has worked extensively over the past 17 years in men's spiritual work both on a personal basis and as a ministry. Personally, he has been led on journeys of great healing and forgiveness. As a ministry, he has worked putting together men's retreats on a parish level. He is currently part of a

team of men here in southern California that puts together the Men's Rite of Passages and other events in connection with Fr. Richard Rohr's Center For Action and Contemplation in Albuquerque, NM. This work has been focused on mentoring men in what to do with their pain, grief, and power that are not destructive to them and others they encounter in relationship. June 2010 July 2010 August 2010 September 2010 October 2010 November 2010 December 2010 January 2011 February 2011 March 2011 April 2011 May 2011 June 2011 Theology "Uncorked" Will NOT BE AT ST. Presently we support the families of AIDS victims, in which grandparents often raise the HIV+ kids. AIDS is not the well understood disease as in the US. We work through an order of nuns. Also, FHMB is supporting a nursery for children of working mothers in Quito, Ecuador, and Sister Annie Credido's home for elderly Hansens disease victims,as well as a clinic. He and his wife, Lee, have four children whom you may have seen over the years as altar servers, eucharistic ministers, or office workers. Chris works as a trial lawyer handling injury and medical malpractice cases, though he promises he won't cross examine any of you when you ask questions. Chris and Lee are in their fourth year of a five year program of formation for him to become a permanent deacon, like Deacon Mike Daniels. God willing, Chris will be ordained in June 2013.
