For All the Saints Through our baptism, we are all called to be saints (literally, holy ones ). Those who have gone before us serve as heroes, role models, and intercessors. We pray to them, we pray with them. We hope to be united with them in the next life. Saint Francis, Saint Cecilia, Saint Patrick, Saint Joseph, Saint Columba, Saint Peter, the Blessed Virgin Mary... what a cloud of witnesses (Hebrews 12:1) surrounds us! This year, as NCYC sings music of the saints, we look to them as we continue our own journey to holiness. May NCYC s singing remind us all that we are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God. (Ephesians 2:19)
