What Do You Mean Born Again?

Transcription:

Sacrifices were only the "shadow of good things to come," and pointed the worshippers forward to the coming of the great High Priest, who, in the fullness of the time, "was offered once for all to bear the sin of many." Sacrifices belonged to a temporary economy, to a system of types and emblems which served their purposes and have now passed away. The "one sacrifice for sins" hath "perfected for ever them that are sanctified." Num 28:3-4 3 And thou shalt say unto them, This is the offering made by fire which ye shall offer unto the LORD; two lambs of the first year without spot day by day, for a continual burnt offering. 4 The one lamb shalt thou offer in the morning, and the other lamb shalt thou offer at even; Daniel 12:11 calls this the daily sacrifice. (singular) The two lambs sacrificed each and every day were a continual sacrifice, not to be construed as two daily sacrifices. They were an offering, the SAME provision before the Lord, morning and evening. Every morning, an atonement was made for the sins of the night, and at every even; an atonement was made for the sins of the day. The daily sacrifice prefigured Christ, the Lamb of God, who continually, every day, morning and night, and every moment, takes away the sins of His people, through the virtue and effectiveness of His Sacrifice on Calvary. John 1:29 29 John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. When Jesus came, John called Him the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. He was One Sacrifice, with two purposes. One Covenant torn in two parts. He became our Daily Sacrifice, a Blood Atonement laying there, making intercession for us every hour of the day. We participate by being identified with the Sacrifice and die daily; I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me. Just as the daily sacrifice was that of two lambs to be complete, so is His Sacrifice two-fold. 1

When the Brazen Serpent was lifted up before Israel, it was for two reasons, for the forgiveness of sins, and the healing of their bodies. As El Shaddai, He is Two resources: "He was wounded for our transgressions, with His stripes we're healed." What ever we have need of, both for physical and spiritual, He is the breasted One, the strong One. Two witnesses: The Old and New Testament. Proving Jehovah of the Old Testament is Jesus Christ of the New. (Rev 1:8, Heb 13:8) As the daily sacrifice commenced in the morning and was complete in the evening so did Jesus bring about the fulfillment of the Resurrection. In the morning Jesus rose from the tomb and appeared to Simon and to the women, and showed them that He was alive. That was the morning. In evening He come back again. Although they did not recognize Him, He walked with them through the day, rebuking them for their blindness, but then He made Himself known to them in the evening time. Likewise, we have received an evening time Message, to receive the same thing that they did at the beginning. A resurrected Christ! The evening time Message is to restore back again, to bring back that same thing again. How? By the promised revelation of His Word, made known to us by His Life, the Holy Spirit. His Life within us, we are made partakers of the Covenant, holders of the Token. PERSEVERANT CHICAGO.IL 63-0802 The rabbis, and so forth, come out and said, "You mean there'll come a time that the daily sacrifice will be taken away? A man will take the place, and so forth?" He said, "There's coming One that will take the place, and He'll take away the daily sacrifice. He will be the Lamb." And as he turned to look, he said, "Behold, there He is. There's the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world," right in the midst of his sermon, because God promised Him. Heb 10:1-17 inclusive 8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; 9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. 10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 2

11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 But this man, after he had offered ONE sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. 15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, 16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Heb 9:12-15 12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. 13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: 14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? 15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. IDENTIFIED.MASTERPIECE.OF.GOD YUMA.AZ 64-1205 That's the way God made His covenant too. Our experience is not to match some creed, some dogma, some church denomination, but it's to match God's Word, Jesus Christ. Right. When we come to Christ, then Christ claims us. HE TORE HIM IN TWO AT CALVARY. Part of it He lifted up that--up to set at His right hand, which was the body. The Spirit He came--sent back here to make a bride for Him, and that same experience that was in Christ has to be in us. ON.THE.WINGS.OF.A.DOVE SHP.LA 65-1128E God took Jesus to the Calvary and tore Him apart, and received the body up into heaven and sent the Spirit down upon us, that the same Spirit was on Him HAS TO BE ON YOU TO DOVETAIL with the Body, to be the Bride at the end time. See? 3

GREAT.SERVANT.MOSES CHICAGO.IL 55-0122 He was lifted up with a compound reason, because they were chiding, and-- and jostling one another, and fighting one another, and despising Moses. And they were sinning, and they were sick. And they was lifted up for two reasons: to forgive their backslidings and to heal their sickness. "And He was wounded for our transgressions, and with His stripes we were healed." AUTHORITY.OF.THE.WORD CONNERSVILLE.IN 53-0602 And as Moses lifted up the brass serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up. Moses lifted up the brass serpent for a compound reason: for healing AND forgiveness of sin. The children had murmured against God and against Moses, and serpents had bit them. So it healed their sick and forgave their sin. And just as the brass serpent was lifted up, so must the Son of Man be lifted up for the same cause. There you are. JEHOVAH.JIREH PHOENIX.AZ 55-0222 And God appeared to him in the Name of the Almighty God. The regular Hebrew word for it is "El Shaddai," which means, "El," "God." "Shaddai" comes from the word, or "Shaddai," rather, which means "breast." Now, not... He come, otherwise, as the mother, the woman, as "the breasted One, the allsufficient One. "I am the One that... I'm the all-sufficient One; I am the strong One." That's all I have to know. "How you going to do it, Father? "I am the strong One." "All right, Father." "I am the El-Shaddai; I am the Bosom. I'm the breasted God, breasted God." Like the baby when it's sick or underfed, undernourished, the mother takes the little fellow in its arm, and she puts it to her bosom, and it nurses her strength. And the strength of the mother goes into the baby, and the baby gains health. The Almighty, He's still the Almighty, the El Shaddai. And when the person... Now, watch. It wasn't the "breast" God, but the "breasted" God. Oh, why? Two resources: "He was wounded for our transgressions, with His stripes we're healed." What ever you have need of, both for physical and spiritual, He is the breasted, strong One. Amen. GOD.HATH.A.PROVIDED.WAY JEFF.IN 56-0108 And if you'd break those words down, sometime, maybe, I'd like to have a revival at the tabernacle here in Jeffersonville, when we get our tent and things set up somewhere, where we could take those words and break them down, and see what they mean, just the meanings of those words. 4

"The Almighty," in the Hebrew is "El Shaddai," which means "the breast like a woman." "Abraham, I'm coming to you in the Name of the breasted One, the Nurse, the--the Life-giver." Like a little baby when it's sick, you know, the mother holds it to her breast, then she nurses it. And the little baby is fretting and crying, and skinny, but it just lays there and nurses, and gets strong. Where is it nursing its life from? From the mother. And God appears to us today as El Shaddai, the Breasted One, both of them, the New and Old Testament, just as full of promises as They can be, not a breast, but breasted, two. Why? He died for a compound purpose. He was wounded for our transgressions; with His stripes God provided a way for our healing. See, one for our salvation, one for our healing. "I am the breasted One. I have two witnesses. In the mouth of two witnesses let every word be established." In the Old Testament He was Jehovah-jireh, the Lord's provided Sacrifice. He was Jehovah-rapha, the Lord that healeth thee. In the Old Testament in His compound names He was the Healer of Jehovah-rapha. In the New Testament He's Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever, the preparation. We could take it from both the Old and New Testament, pat them together. RECOGNIZING.YOUR.DAY JEFF.IN 64-0726M And then there is to be an evening time Message, and to receive the same thing that they did at the beginning. The evening time Message is to restore back again, to bring back that same thing again. EVENTS.MADE.CLEAR.BY.PROPHECY JEFF.IN 65-0801E God Almighty, help us. Help us, dear God, to understand, to understand the things that we should know, understand Thy Word. And now, Lord, we have heard sermons now for nearly two thousand years, writings of books. And in this last days here it's slipped right back again, and now, it's towards evening time. The Methodists, Baptists, Presbyterians, and many of them down through the age has talked with You, and maybe just along the way of this great day that hasn't been either night or day, as the prophet said, but in the evening time it'll be Light... Jesus rose from the tomb and appeared to Simon and to the women, and showed them that He was alive. That was the morning. And then in evening He come back again. But He did walk to them through the day, rebuking them for their blindness, but then He made Hisself known to them in the evening time. 5

FUTURE.HOME JEFF.IN 64-0802 Now, how do you know you're a part? Because that the Word of the hour, the promise of the day. What is it? A restoration back to the first day, the first: "And he shall restore the hearts of the children back to the fathers," bringing a restoration again of the Pentecostal genuine, not sensations... and will manifest the Evening Light, the same sun that showed in the Morning Light. That's promised for the day. Amen, amen. PRESUMING PHOENIX.AZ 62-0117 The brass altar consumed the sacrifice. If the sacrifice laid upon the altar and it was not consumed, God refused it. See? It's consuming. And you are God's sacrifice. Lay yourself upon the altar, and say, "God, just take it all out of me. Empty up so You can fill me up and use me." That's right. Don't presume it; believe it. Yes, sir. If you don't believe it, you-- God won't receive your sacrifice. THAT.DAY.ON.CALVARY JEFF.IN 60-0925 (see Rom 6:11) Church, isn't going to church just to play music, sing songs. Church is a place where correction... Judgment begins at the house of God. We must reckon ourselves dead and alive to Christ. Then He made the way that we could sacrifice ourselves to His service to follow Him. If we follow Him, we lead the life that He led. WHAT.IT.TAKES.TO.OVERCOME.ALL.UNBELIEF YAKIMA.WA 60-0729 we're looking to the Author and Finisher of our faith, Jesus Christ, Who was made man on earth, and dwelt among us, and was made sin, that through His righteousness we might be forgiven of our sins. He became us, sinners, that we might become His righteousness. In other wise, like this, He become me that I might become Him. He was the Son of God; I was a sinner. He taken my place, become a sinner, that I might be a Son of God. MANIFESTED.SONS.OF.GOD JEFF.IN 60-0518 And when we are born in the Kingdom of God by Jesus Christ, we're a heir of heaven, joint heirs with Jesus, because He took our place. He became us (sin), that we might become Him (righteousness). See? He become me that I might become Him (See?), joint heirs with Him. All right. Now, remember that's to each one of you. 6

Heb 7:25-27 25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. 26 For such an high priest BECAME US, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; 27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. TOKEN.THE SHREVEPORT.LA 63-1128E To come to the altar with a dry-eyed confession is a tradition. You should die there to your sacrifice, as you identify yourself that you are dead (Amen.), buried in Christ so the world is dead behind you. And you're to walk in a new life with Christ Jesus in His resurrection, loving His Word, taking His Word, watch Him identifying Himself in His Word, as giving you the identification that you've passed from death unto Life. What a time that we're living in. Yes, sir. YOU.MUST.BE.BORN.AGAIN JEFF.IN 61-1231M (see Eph 2:6) When that sacrifice is received by the fire, and it goes up like that, and the smoke goes up, you rise with your sacrifice into the heavenlies, and you're sealed away from the things of the world then. Our soul's on His altar. What are you done then, after you have been died, then what are you to do? Then you are conceived anew. You are conceived anew. You was first conceived in iniquity. Now, you're conceived in something new. What is it? The living Word. Oh, that changes it now, doesn't it? Now, we're through the struggle, after seeing what you got to do. Now, what happens? You're conceived anew in the living Word. What is it? The Word becomes alive in you. You begin to see things different. Where once you couldn't see that, now you do see it. There's something different now: makes all the Scriptures come together, makes everything dovetail just right. Then now--now something's begin to happen. Now, you die to your own thinking; now you're conceived, because we are washed by the water of the Word. As long as we are in this life, we will be bothered by the human carnal nature. But thanks be to God we have a Blood Sacrifice laying there every hour of the day, as an Atonement, taking our sins away daily. As we speak in prayer, we are not seen, God sees the Blood of Christ. He hears our voice, but it is the Voice of Christ from within us, therefore we are not sinners as we have died to ourselves and risen in Christ. We are identified with our Daily Sacrifice. 7

Being born again, we die daily. Daily we pick up our cross and follow Him. We are Sealed, and marked, ALWAYS bearing about in the body THE DYING OF THE LORD JESUS. Luke 9:23 23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross DAILY, and follow me. ALL.THE.DAYS.OF.OUR.LIFE CHICAGO.IL 59-0612 I believe that Christian life is a CONTINUAL SACRIFICE. "He that will come unto me, let him deny himself daily take up his cross and follow Me," said Jesus. WHERE.HAS.THY.STRENGTH.GONE.SAMSON LA.CA 59-0702 "Take me back to Calvary. Let me forsake all the things of this world. Let me forsake all and cleave to Thee." "He that will not forsake all and take up his cross daily... It's a SACRIFICIAL walk. It's a walk that you don't pattern after the world. Christ is your Example. Die daily and walk after Jesus. END.TIME.EVANGELISM JEFF.IN 62-0603 Jesus said, "Ye must be borned again." In order to be borned again, it's letting yourself go and die, and the Spirit of Christ come into you. Then you're no more yours; it's Christ in you (See?), the Holy Spirit. Paul said, "I die daily; yet I live, not I, but Christ liveth in me." See, Christ... REV.CHAP.4.PT.2.24.ELDERS JEFF.IN 61-0101 when Christ comes in, you've created an altar on your heart and your sins are TAKEN DAILY. The great Saint Paul said, "I die daily. Nevertheless I live, but not me live, but Christ liveth in me." There's the inner veil. QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS JEFF.IN 54-0103M But you're constantly falling. Paul had to die every day. Is that right? He had to die every day, repent every day, and just constantly repenting all the time. See? And if Paul had to do that, then I'm going to have to too. Aren't you? QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS JEFF.IN 54-0103E (see 1 Cor 15:30-31) You've got to repent and die daily to live in Jesus Christ. So every day-- every day, you've got to die every day to live in Christ Jesus. 8

INTERVIEW.OF.SISTER.BRUCE JEFF.IN 64-0705M I'm not a sinner, neither are you; we got a Blood Sacrifice laying there. God don't even see us. He hears our voice, but He sees the Blood of Christ. That's it. See? He sees the Blood of His Own Son. It's our voice, Christ's Blood, and it's Christ that's talking through us to God; so therefore, we're not sinners no more. We are Christians. PROVING.HIS.WORD JEFF.IN 64-0816 Now, when I'm praying, God don't see me; He just hears my voice through the Blood of Jesus. See? He don't see me; He hears my voice. And that Blood there is to represent what I ask. See? Then He hears my voice, but He sees only the Blood. See? He don't see me, so I can't be dirty when I'm under the Blood. The Blood cleanses. See, He's the bumper between me and God, and promised, "Ask the Father anything, I'll do it." QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS JEFF.IN 64-0823M You don't see me; You just hear my voice. It's coming through the Blood of the Lord Jesus there. And I'm believing that You'll answer for me just as You did for Him, because He went before me to set at the right hand up there of the Majesty on high. And HIS BLOOD LAYS THERE AS AN ATONEMENT, AND I'M COVERED UNDER THAT BLOOD. QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS JEFF.IN 64-0830E How can I take a cocklebur and make a grain of wheat out of it? It's impossible for me to do it. The only way it can be is because inside that cocklebur has been transmitted from a cocklebur wheat--a cocklebur to a germ called "wheat life." Then you bury that cocklebur, and it'll produce a grain of wheat (That's right. See?), because there has been a life of wheat put in the cocklebur. And the life of the cocklebur has been taken out; but the nature of the cocklebur is still sticky (See?), and it will be until this new life has fully been developed out of the ground and raised up again. When it comes forth, then it's no more cocklebur, but wheat--but wheat. But while it's here on earth and the--in the-- out of the earth... And a cocklebur, it's still sticky, but it's got the nature on the inside of it of wheat. And AS LONG AS YOU'RE IN THIS LIFE, you're going to be sticky and have a carnal nature that's going to bother you as long as you live; BUT THE INSIDE OF YOU, YOU'RE BORNED AGAIN. And when you're raised up, you're in the likeness of Christ and ALL THE SIN IS GONE FROM YOU. 9

2 Cor 4:6-10 6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 10 ALWAYS bearing about in the body THE DYING OF THE LORD JESUS, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. FIVE.IDENTIFICATIONS JEFF.IN 60-0911E What did we do? Nothing. What He done is what I'm looking at. When did He do? Chose us, put our names on His Book, on His church Book to be a member of this mystical Body before the world ever began. And has predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to His own good pleasure of his will, Whew. You got to be in that church, brother, if you make it, for He's coming for a church. Well, what kind of a church? A church that's without spot or without wrinkle. How can we be that? By being dead in Christ, baptized by the Holy Ghost into His mystical Body, and THE BLOOD ATONEMENT of the Son of God LAYING THERE FOR US EVERY HOUR OF THE DAY: found blameless, that's the church, without spot, or without wrinkle. He chose us in Him, and put our names on His Book. QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS JEFF.IN 59-0628E Who was the sin offering? Jesus Christ. How do we get in Christ? Who died for us? Christ. What did He die for? Our sins. He took my punishment. Is that right? And then how do I get into Him? By one Spirit we are all baptized into one body. And when in this body, we're covered by the Blood and free from the judgments. He cannot sin, because THERE'S A BLOOD SACRIFICE LAYING FOR HIM DAY AND NIGHT. Hallelujah. He can't sin. He has no desire to sin. If he does it-- if he does do something wrong, he don't mean to do it. Eph 2:13 (see Heb 7:19) But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Heb 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. 10
