This exciting opportunity will happen on March 17th in the Rushmore Mall at the Hills of Grace Church. The church is located straight north of the food court right before the At Home Store (previously Target) on the right side. Several things will be different this time along with the venue. The Sandwich Shop, which is now located in the food court at Rushmore Mall is offering a 15% discount on food at their shop if you purchase your food between 5:00 and 5:30pm the night of March 17th. The church would rather not allow food to be eaten in the sanctuary where the Talent Show will take place, but the Kids Zone next door to the sanctuary is available if someone would like to eat purchased food from any vendor in the food court. Beverages are allowed in the sanctuary during the Coffee House/ Talent Show. The Talent Show, itself, will take place from 5:30-7:30pm in the sanctuary of Hills of Grace Church. The mall closes at 8:00pm and we will need time to rearrange furniture and clean up before leaving. After the Coffee House, those who would like to continue the fellowship time are invited to Panera s at Rushmore Crossing for dessert. To make this the best Talent Show ever, please contact Lila @ (605)484-1460 to let the Coffee House committee know you wish to share your talent. The committee will put a schedule together for the Coffee House. Any talent, as long as it is appropriate, of course, is welcome. Feel free to sign up to read your poetry, share your photography, sing, play instruments, act, read your favorite short story, etc.. You are welcome to put together a group, a duet, trio, or even invite your family members to participate. A free-will offering will be taken to help defray the cost of using the facility. Please sign up to share your talent no later than Tuesday, March 13th.Come join the fun!

Thoughts on Prayer Compiled by Lila Scandrett Saturday Night Alive Page 2 I was praying about what to put on this page for encouragement and entertainment and God seemed to say to me, How about asking different people in SNA for their thoughts on prayer and sharing that? So, I have asked various people from SNA to share something about prayer that I could quote. Following are some of these quotes: Craig Pray without ceasing. Jeff Prayer works. Jackie I should do it more. Sherri We are encouraged to pray for our children and grandchildren, as our voices open heaven s doors for them. And God answers prayers in HIS time. Laurel Pray Until Something Happens: PUSH Susan - Much prayer, much power; little prayer, little power. and another one: Prayer is to let go and let God. Lila - Just do it!! Getting advice and thoughts from our friends is good, but let s also turn to the Bible, especially the New Testament, to read some more thoughts on prayer. All Scripture passages are from the New King James translation: 5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus Phil. 4:5-7 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints Eph. 6:17-18 15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Confess your trespasses [a] to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. 17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. James 5:15-17 11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; 13 distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality. Rom. 12:11-13
