Suratun Nisaa, Ayat 1 اي أ ي ه ا الن اس ات قوا ر ب ك م ال ذي خ ل ق ك م م ن ن فس واح د ة و خ ل ق منها ز وج ها و ب ث م نه ما ر جاا ل ك ث ا ريا و ن ساء ا و ات ق وا ا لل ال ذي ت ساء لون ب ه و األ رحام إ ن ا لل كان ع ل يك م ر قيب ا ا O mankind! Be wary of your Lord who created you from a single soul, and created its mate from it, and from the two of them, scattered numerous men and women. Be wary of Allah, in whose Name you adjure one another, and the wombs. 1 Indeed Allah is watchful over you.(1) ALI 337: Intro to Suran al-nisaa 4
Suratun Nisaa, Ayat 2 & 4 و آت وا الي تامى أ موا ل م و ل ت ت ب د ل وا اخل بيث ب لط ي ب و ل ت ك لوا أ موا ل م إ ىل أ موال ك م إ ن ه كان حو ا ب ك ب ا ريا Give the orphans their property, and do not replace the good with the bad, and do not eat up their property [by mingling it] with your own property, for that is indeed a great sin (2) و آت وا الن ساء ص د قا ت ن ن ل ةا ف إ ن ط ب ل ك م ع ن ش يء م نه ن فسا ف ك لوه ا ه نيئاا م ريئاا Give women their dowries as an obligation; but if they remit anything of it of their own accord, then consume it as [something] lawful and wholesome (4). Suratun Nisaa Ayat 7 &8 ل لر جال ن صيب م ا ت ر ك الوال دان و األ قر بون و ل لن ساء ن صيب م ا ت ر ك الوال دان و األ قر بون م ا ق ل م نه أ و ك ث ر ن صيب ا ا م فرو اضا Men have a share in the heritage left by parents and near relatives, and women have a share in the heritage left by parents and near relatives, whether it be little or much, a share ordained [by Allah] (7) و إ ذا ح ض ر الق سم ة أ ول و الق رىب و الي تام ى م عروفاا ل م ق وا ل و امل ساكني ف ارز قوه م م نه وقولوا And when the division is attended by relatives, the orphans and the needy, provide for them out of it, and speak to them honourable words (8) ALI 337: Intro to Suran al-nisaa 6
Suratun Nisaa Ayat 16 و الل ذان ي ت يا ن ا م نك م ف آذو ه ا ف إ ن ات ب و أ صل حا ف أ عر ضوا ع نه ما كان ت و ا ا ب ر حي ا ما إ ن ا لل Should two among you commit it, 1 chastise them both; but if they repent and reform, let them alone. Suratun Nisaa, Ayat 17 & 18 إ ن ا الت وب ة ع ل ى ا لل ل ل ذين ي ع ملون الس وء ب هال ة ث ي توبون م ن ق ري ب ف أ ول ئ ك ي توب ا لل ع ل يه م و كان ا لل ع لي ا ما ح كي ا ما Acceptance of] repentance by Allah is only for those who commit evil out of ignorance, then repent promptly. It is such whose repentance Allah will accept, and Allah is all-knowing, all-wise. و ل يس ت الت وب ة ل ل ذين ي عم لون الس ي ئ ات ح ت إ ذا ح ض ر أ حد ه م امل و ت قال إ ن ت بت اآلن و ل ال ذين ي وتون و ه م ك ف ار أ ول ئ ك أ عت دان ل م ع ذا ا ب أ لي ا ما But [acceptance of] repentance is not for those who go on committing misdeeds: when death approaches any of them, he says, I repent now. Nor is it for those who die while they are faithless. For such We have prepared a painful punishment.18 ALI 337: Intro to Suran al-nisaa 8
Suratun Nisaa Ayat 27 و ا لل ي ريد أ ن ي توب ع ل يك م و ي ريد ال ذين ي ت ب عون الش ه وا ت ع ظي ا ما أ ن ت يلوا م يا ل Allah desires to turn toward you clemently, but those who pursue their [base] appetites desire that you fall into gross waywardness (27) ALI 337: Intro to Suran al-nisaa 9
Suratun Nisaa Ayat 101 & 103 و إ ذا ض ر بت م ف األ رض ف ل يس ع ل يك م ج ناح أ ن ت قص روا م ن الص لة إ ن خ فت م أ ن ي فت ن ك م ال ذين ك ف روا إ ن الكاف رين كانوا ل ك م ع د و ا م بيناا When you journey in the land, there is no sin upon you in shortening the prayers, if you fear that the faithless may trouble you; indeed the faithless are your manifest enemies. ف إ ذا ق ض يت م الص لة ف اذك ر وا ا لل ق يا ا ما و ق عو ا دا و ع لى ج نوب ك م اطم أن نت م ف أ قيم وا الص لة إ ن الص لة كان ت ع ل ى امل ؤم نني ك تا ا ب ف إ ذ ا م وقواات When you have finished the prayers, remember Allah, standing, sitting and lying down, and when you feel secure, perform the [complete] prayers, for the prayer is indeed a timed prescription for the faithful. Suratun Nisaa Ayat 113 و ل و ل ف ضل ا لل ع ل يك و ر مح ت ه ل م ت طائ ف ة م نه م أ ن ي ض ل و ك و ما ي ض ل و ن إ ل أ نف س ه م و ما ي ض ر ون ك م ن ش يء و أ نز ل ا لل ع ل يك الك تاب و احل كم ة و ع ل م ك ما ل ت ك ن ت عل م و كان ف ضل ا لل ع ل يك ع ظي ا ما Were it not for Allah s grace and His mercy on you, a group of them were bent on leading you astray; but they do not mislead anyone except themselves, and they cannot do you any harm. Allah has sent down to you the Book and wisdom, and He has taught you what you did not know, and great is Allah s grace upon you.113 ALI 337: Intro to Suran al-nisaa 11
Suratun Nisaa Ayat 163 إ ان أ وح ينا إ ل يك ك ما أ وح ينا إ ىل نوح و الن ب ي ني م ن ب عد ه و أ و حينا إ ىل إ براهيم و إ مساعيل و إ سحاق و ي عقوب و األ سباط و عيسى و أ ي وب و يون س و هارون و س ل يمان و آت ينا داوود ز بو ا را We have indeed revealed to you as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him, and [as] We revealed to Abraham and Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, Jesus and Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and We gave David the Psalms (163) ALI 337: Intro to Suran al-nisaa 12
Suratun Nisaa Ayat 164 & 168 و ر س ا ل ق د ق ص صناه م ع ل يك م ن ق بل و ر س ا ل ل ن قص صه م ع ل يك و ك ل م ا لل موسى ت كلي ا ما and apostles We have recounted to you earlier and apostles We have not recounted to you, and to Moses Allah spoke directly 164 إ ن ال ذين ك ف روا و ظ ل موا ل ي ك ن ا لل ل ي رف ر ل م و ل ل ي هد ي ه م ط رياقا Indeed those who are faithless and do wrong, Allah shall never forgive them, nor shall He guide them to any way, 168 ALI 337: Intro to Suran al-nisaa 13
Benefits From Rasulallah (s.a): whoever recites this surah will have truly distributed inheritance amongst his or her inheritors; or whoever recites surah has given every believing person a share of inheritance Imam Ali (a.s): whoever recites this Surah on Friday will be free from the punishment of the grave ALI 337: Intro to Suran al-nisaa 14
