A Letter from Father... Page 2 September 4, 2016 September Happenings So soon Summer has ended. The voices of our school children are once again heard shouting from the school play ground. Our Mass schedule is back to its normal times. Labor Day takes that passage into a new season. We pray for those who work and we thank God for the skills we have. We pray for those who need to find a job that gives them a living wage. The priests of the Diocese will be on their annual Convocation. Let us pray for them that they can find the gathering useful and productive. Our Consolata festival will be on Sept 18, 2016. It is a good time to remember to pray for the mission and to support the works that they do to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the whole world. Parish life flows in the rhythm of the season. It makes for an interesting movement working the various elements of our parish. All the elements give energy and life to make a dynamic parish community. We may not be able to be part of every activity, but you can chose that which gives you some spiritual growth within a loved filled community. Peace, NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER FOR PEACE The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has established this Friday, September 9, 2016, as a Day of Prayer for Peace in our Communities. Recent months of escalating violence continues to gravely harm our local communities. As people of faith we turn to the power of prayer to shine the light of Christ into areas of darkness. We ask that you light a candle in your home on Friday, September 9th to unite your family in prayer for peace in our communities. Do not forget as a family to offer prayer for peace. May we never tire in promoting and seeking peace!

For Confirmation I, II and III, the meeting will be at 8:00 AM. For Kindergarten through 8th grade, the meeting will be at 10:00 AM. All meetings will be held in the school auditorium. ( If you have students in both the Confirmation and K-8 classes, you must attend both meetings. Registration will follow each meeting. The cost is $100 for one child, $120 for two children and $140 for three or more children. Only checks and cash will be accepted as payment.
