Want to know more about how you can serve Christ as a missions volunteer? Missions Matter is a two day event sponsored by the Baptist General Association of Virginia, April 29-30. The program begin with dinner on Friday night and goes through Saturday afternoon. Cost $20 includes Friday dinner and Saturday lunch. Location: Hatcher Memorial Baptist Church, 2300 Dumbarton Road. Training tracks include partnership missions, mission camps, and disaster response. Join fellow Baptists from around the Commonwealth for this informative session. Baptist disaster response teams continue to help families affected by the recent tornado outbreak. All volunteers are required to be certified and you can earn that designation at this meeting. Sessions will include uplifting messages and music. See www.bgav.org and search for Missions Matter or contact a member of the Missions Committee. Volunteer Opportunity-Raceway Ministries, April 23-24 during the Spring NASCAR Races. 2-3 hour shifts needed to help at the race track. 6648) to register your intention to participate. Kairos Prison Ministry Cookies For all who would like to bake some Kairos cookies Tom Ball will be able to take them at any time before Tuesday 4/19. The Kairos Cookie bin is located beside the Youth Pastor s office. Please place the cookies one dozen per quart size Ziploc bag. Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter, or Sugar Cookies are popular recipes. Cookie size should be between 2 2.5 inches in diameter. The most important ingredient is prayer. YOUTH NEWS The Youth will be taking a trip to the Goochland Drive Inn on Saturday, April 30 th. We will meet at the church at 5:15 before heading to the theatre. If you plan on attending, TODAY is the last day to sign up. The cost is $5/person. We will eat dinner at the theatre, so please bring extra money for that. Please let B.J. know today if you plan on attending. Faith Night at the Diamond - The Youth will make a trip on May 14th for this special night of Christian Music, Player Testimonials, etc. The night begins at approximately 5:30 PM. Tickets will be $5 and please bring spending money for dinner as we will eat at The Diamond. Please invite your entire family! Any members of the church are more than welcome to join us!
