Lorem Ipsum Dolor Spring 2013 Spring Issue 2016 04 Forgiveness Meditation Compassion SEE THOSE AROUND YOU THROUGH THE COMPASSIONATE EYE Learn to see through others eyes and have compassion. If you listen carefully to one whom you regard as your enemy, you will see his/her side of the story and then you will understand why they do or act or think as they do Learn to see people without adding your own personal agenda to who they really are. See people as you would like to be seen. Learn to see all people and situations with non-judgment and through the eye of compassion. All masters taught and still teach this fundamental truth. THE FIVE ASPECTS OF THE FORGIVENESS MEDITATION 1. Forgive others for any wrong that you feel that they have done to you 2. Forgive yourself for any wrong you feel that you have done to others 3. Forgive yourself for harm you feel you have done to yourself 4. Forgive yourself for not forgiving others; give yourself time to get there 5. Forgive yourself for not forgiving yourself; give yourself time to get there Forgiveness was and is taught by all spiritual masters from all faiths Why are we beginning this cheat sheet with the notion and practice of forgiveness? Simply because your effect on your Global Consciousness all starts with your feelings about yourself and others. If you harbor anger, ill will, or any other negative emotions against yourself or others, your mind set will also be transmitted to the world... and belief systems across time. Forgiveness is not conditional. Forgive all transgressions by all people and all beings of any sort forgive your self too. Practice forgiveness when ever possible. Not just at home in meditation, but in traffic, at the store, at work, with your kids, your partner, etc. Yes! Forgiveness is that important Meditate on Forgiveness Before anything else To ensure a truly powerful and positive Global Consciousness Meditation, you must start from a place of compassion for oneself and for others. When you feel only love - as much love as you know you can feel - only then can you offer love and healing energy to the world. Begin within your own heart and work outward. 2
Lorem Ipsum Dolor Spring Spring 2013 Issue 2016 04 The Confluence Meditation Breathing Heart Love into the Universe THE CONFLUENCE MEDITATION This is a modification to the HeartMath Inc. Global Consciousness Coherence Technique. Begin the meditation by sitting in an upright position. Close your eyes and relax. Go to whatever place or focus level that allows you to relax fully. When you are relaxed and at peace you may begin the meditation. 1. HEART FOCUS: Perceive your heart-space. Tap your heart with your finger if it helps. 2. HEART FEELING: Recall a happy or loving past experience. Find a good feeling that you can feel in your heart. It could be love, lust, compassion, or gratitude or a powerfully fond memory; anything that gives you great joy. 3. HEART BREATHING: Breathe that loving feeling into the electromagnetic field of the heart, in and all around you. 4. HEART BREATHING FOR THE WORLD: Move your consciousness from your own heart space and direct it toward the earth and send feelings of love and peace into the world. Send it to all people, to all plants, animals, fishes, birds, sentient and nonsentient beings. Send it to all of the world and its creation. 5. HEART BREATHING FOR THE UNIVERSE: Move your consciousness from your own heart space and direct it further out, sending feelings of love and peace into the Universe. Send it to all physical and non-physical reality. Once you have completed sending love to the Universe, let it go out and let it return to you. Open your eyes and ground yourself into physical consciousness. Thank yourself for sending peace to everything in our reality. Remember that when you are performing this meditation you are sending a desire and energy of improvement to those who are less fortunate, troubled, those who feel unloved as well as to those around you about whom you care. You are sending love and positive emotion to the greedy, the energy vampires, the oppressors and the morally blind and bankrupt, so that they might understand and experience love and compassion as you offer it to them. Lorem Ipsum Dolor Spring Spring 2013 Issue 2016 04 Chakra Meditations Get Yourself to a Good Place GETTING TO OUR PLACE OF PERSONAL PEACE Each of us can appreciate the difficulty in finding it within ourselves every day to be in a mindset of sufficient peace and well being that would allow us to meditate on sending peace to the world, especially if we are feeling angry with the world, with people and situations. Understandably, it is hard to feel forgiveness for self or others if we are not in a good space ourselves. It is important to try to get there if possible. It is at this precise time when it is important to do so. You are in a place to help yourself and others. When you realign your own thinking and feelings, and when find your place of peace, you help yourself. When you are able to that, you can then do great things for yourself and the world around you. One of the best ways to feel better physically is to start with your chakras and to align and reenergize them with a simple chakra meditation. THE CHAKRA MEDITATION The simplest way to explain this is to see it as 3 easy steps: 1. PRANA TUBES: Extend your prana tubes into the core of the earth and into the sky. Connect with the energies there and offer thanks. 2. BREATHING: Begin a cycle of breathing, bringing in cleansing energy through your prana tubes into your body and exhaling, by sending out feelings of stress. 3. CHAKRAS: Having established a breathing cycle, you can now begin to focus on breathing through each chakra more specifically. When you inhale, see your chakra expand with its colour and when you exhale, send away negative energy from the chakra. USING COLOURS OR SOUNDS OR BOTH! ROOT AYYYYYYYYEEE SACRAL EEEEEEEEEEEEE PLEXUS AHHHHHHHHEEE HEART OHHHHHHHHHH THROAT YUUUUUUUUUU THIRD EYE You can do this quickly, or you can take some time and really focus on the chakra work. You can do it with colours, with sounds, or with both! It is good to do at least one focused chakra meditation every week or so. OHHHHHMMMM CROWN AAAUUUUMMM 4
Lorem Ipsum Dolor Spring 2013 Spring Issue 2016 04 What s in it for Me? TOMORROW NOT TODAY Each one of us has days when we wake up trying to get into the emotional and spiritual mindset or heartset of offering a meditation toward Global Consciousness when we ourselves are struggling with some basic personal challenges. How does one try to find the emotional fortitude and devotion to commit to Global Consciousness when while struggle with personal issues that completely block any thoughts about the world and its wellbeing? How does one think about gratitude during deep personal struggle or suffering or illness? These are legitimate questions; they have been legitimate questions ever since human kind thought about elevation of its spirituality. Even as we move into a new reality, the question is a question as relevant as it was during the 1 st Baktun. The legitimacy of these questions does not answer them though. No amount of spiritual discourse can actually make a difference unless each of us wants it to do so. GETTING TO TOMORROW - TODAY What each of us often forgets is that when we struggle, it is that by expanding our thinking and by reaching out we can empower ourselves to act with love and compassion. When we ask what there is in this that serves us, one who reaches out will find that reaching out on behalf of humanity is personally enriching; one cannot think of doing something good for others or for the world (and do so without adding conditions or expectations) without feeling love and compassion first. This is how we can begin to heal ourselves too. As we seek to heal the world, we can find a way to healing ourselves as well. It is the same reason that those who are aware of their own emotions feel badly after criticizing others or feeling anger against others. What ever we send out has a boomerang effect; be it good or bad, whatever we send out comes back! BE GOOD TO YOURSELF! You do not always have to go into a structured meditation like those mentioned above. It is possible to offer healing to yourself and to others by just doing your best to be aware of your own emotions, your own feelings toward others and by doing your best to just be in and live from your heart. So, when you are stressing over having time to perform all of the prescribed meditations, it is also clear that people do not always have the time. So, that is OK too. If you cannot find the time, at least be in your heart as much as you can. It is not a way of getting out of the meditations; you still need to do these when ever you can, but if you cannot, at least be in your heart as often as possible. In doing so, you are still being good to yourself and to everyone around you. It is all about you!! The power over your own happiness, contentment, and peace, as well as that of others is linked directly to you and to you along. It is not linked to others, to medicines, or to people in your life. Those things are certainly are all a part of your life, but how you perceive these people, stresses, events, and circumstances is a matter of your own perspectives, your own feelings; in short it is all about your own heart space. You have the power over your happiness. You can affect the happiness of others DO NOT WASTE THIS POWER DO NOT GIVE THIS POWER AWAY 5
