CONFESSIONS Monday: 5:30 to 6:30pm Saturday: 9:30 to 10:30am Saturday: 3:00 to 3:45pm PASTOR S COLUMN WOMEN OF GRACE I encourage the women of our parish to join the next Women of Grace program which begins on Thursday 2 March 6:30-8:30pm. It is a Catholic Bible Study program entitled Living in the Father s Love. It is open to all women of the parish and it will be great way to prepare for Easter. It runs on Thursdays 2 March - 6 April. Please contact Janine Hammarquist for more information and to register. LENT STARTS ON WEDNESDAY Ash Wednesday is on March 1. There will be two Masses that day at which ashes will be distributed: 9:00am and 7:00pm. I encourage you all to take advantage of our parish devotions during Lent - Lenten liturgical opportunities that play a large part in our preparation for Easter: Lenten Evening Prayer every Mon, Tues & Wed at 6:30pm and Stations of the Cross each Friday during Lent at 7:00pm. It is always good to give something up for Lent, but often it is more meritorious to add some prayer or devotion or some increased acts of charity. DIOCESAN CONFERENCE - The Bishop has called a Men and Women s Conference which will take place on Saturday 11 th March at Stonehill College from 9:00am - 4:00pm. Cardinal Sean O Malley is the keynote speaker. There will be breakout sessions for men and women. The cost of the day including lunch and refreshments is $45, however a kind donor in our parish has offered to subsidize our parishioners with $20 per person so that if you register through our parish you will only have to pay a cost of $25. This price will include a free bus ride to Stonehill leaving here at 8:00am and returning at 5:00pm. It should be a very interesting day and will be a great opportunity to grow in faith and knowledge. I will be one of the priests hearing confessions during the lunch break. There will be a closing Mass with Bishop Da Cunha at 3:00pm. Please come and join our parish as we spend the day with our Bishop. I have put some informational flyers at the entrance to the church. You can also go to the Diocesan Website to get more information. Please make sure you register through our parish to get the discounted rate. Call the parish office to reserve your place. ADULT EDUCATION The next Adult education session is this Sunday 26 February at 9:15am and repeated Tuesday 28 Feb at 7:00pm. MARCH FOR LIFE 2017 Thank you to all who travelled with our parish to Washington DC last month for the March for Life. It was a truly amazing trip. I would like to thank especially our organizers Mary Hadley and Mary Cardoza - without your hard work this trip would not have been possible.
