Our distance and online yoga teacher training courses are based on our face-to-face courses and are made up of various topics, or modules, as recommended by Yoga Australia. These provide you with a thorough and in-depth knowledge of yoga - from its origins, to its contextual application in modern life. With this course, you will be able to become a certified 200 hour or 350 hour yoga teacher, and gain insurance to teach yoga. Our courses are fully accredited with Yoga Australia so you will also be eligible for registration with Yoga Australia as a full level 1 teacher at 350 hours and with provisional membership at 200 hours. You can be confident knowing you are accredited with some of the highest standards of yoga teaching in the world. How do the distance courses work? Read on for course structure, pricing and more. When can I start? Distance and Online courses can be started at any time - no need to wait for course intakes or start dates, you can begin at a time that suits you and your lifestyle. How long does the course take? We recommend 12 months for our courses but the pace will be determined by your learning style and lifestyle. We encourage you to work through the course at a pace that suits you. Page 1 of 7

Course Structure Upon enrolment, you will be sent a welcome pack that contains your course manuals, audio files, videos, and further reading lists. The 200 hour course manual covers 10 modules within which there will be practical and theoretical components for you to work through. The 350 hour manual has a further 13 modules to enhance your learning. You can find a breakdown of these modules at the end of this document. As well as your course manuals we supply you with practice sequences for you to work through at home. These will form the basis of your home practice and begin to shed light on the intricacies of teaching methodology and sequencing. There is also a list of required and recommended texts that will inspire and help you in your journey as well videos to assist your learning, and recordings by the amazing Swami Muktibodhananda. Swami Mukti is a highly respected senior teacher who travels the world sharing her knowledge of yoga. She is a regular teacher on our face-to-face courses and we are lucky enough to have over 25 hours of live recordings of her teachings for you. Online & Distance Yoga teacher training There are two options for each yoga teacher training course; Online and Distance learning. The online course is structured for self-directed learning. You will have access to all course materials and your final teaching assignments will be assessed. You will have a mentoring session at the end of the course to discuss your progress and teaching assessment. This course is ideal for those who prefer to work independently and who may have access to a regular teacher that they can work with. Pricing Online Courses 200hr $1750 350hr $2999 upgrade to 350hr $1500 Distance Courses (includes mentoring sessions from a senior YIMI teacher) 200hr $3009 or $250 deposit + $250 per month for 12 months (total $3250) 350hr $4590 or $250 deposit and $395 per month for 12 months (total $4990) upgrade to 350hr $2330 $250 deposit and $195 per month for 12 months (total $2590) The distance course includes regular mentoring sessions with a YIMI senior teacher. It is a course requirement that you are mentored at least 7 times during the 350 hour program or 4 times during the 200 hour program, wherein personal practice and study progress can be discussed. Mentoring sessions are delivered via telephone or skype. All assignments will be marked as well as your final teaching assessments and feedback will be given. This course is suited to those who prefer more guidance throughout their learning. Page 2 of 7

Summary of Course Requirements Written assignments Assignments are to be completed for each module and once completed, uploaded to your personal YIMI profile. Work through them in your own time. These are a requirement for you to pass the course. Daily home practice We recommend you take 1 hour daily (total for 200hr & 350hr) for your home practice. The practice sequence audios and the asana manual provided can be used to assist with home sequences in the course manual. Keep a diary and personal reflections of your home practice and upload them to your personal YIMI profile, either in stages or at the end of your course. Teaching assignments These are to be recorded, uploaded to a video or file sharing site and emailed to us at info@yimi.com.au. These will be assessed and feedback will be given. Mentoring The level of mentoring depends on which course you choose to do (see Online & Distance yoga teacher training on page 2). You may also request and purchase extra mentoring sessions at any time throughout the course. Administrative help will also be available to you at any time. Integrative Practice and Teaching You are encouraged to maintain a regular yoga practice with a local senior teacher throughout your teacher training and beyond. If you are in regular contact with a teacher then you may choose to complete Integrative Practice and Teaching (IPT) hours. IPT entails supervised teaching practice, observation of teaching, and/or assistance in classes taught by qualified teacher. If you undertake these hours then you may record them as evidence of further training. Required Reading and Props There are many great texts about the study and practise of Yoga available. We have put together a list of books that we highly recommend and that have become core requirements of our yoga teacher training courses. They are invaluable sources of inspiration and knowledge for your training and beyond. Books can be found on many online retail stores at reasonable prices.
