For several years she served as assistant director and from 1987-1990 as director of Telecommunication department of Mihajlo Pupin Institute. She was appointed Associate Professor (1991) and Professor (2003) in Digital Signal Processing at the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade. She spent summers in 2002, 2003 and 2005 as a visiting professor at the Tampere International Center for Signal Processing (TICSP), Tampere University of Technology, Finland. Presently, she is a chief scientist in Mihajlo Pupin Institute and professor at the School of Electrical Engineering of Belgrade University. Dr. Milic is the author of more than 140 scientific papers mainly in the field of digital signal processing, and the author of two text books in Serbian: "Recursive Digital Filters" (1982) and "Introduction to Digital Signal Processing" (1999). She is also the author of the book chapters and the editor for several scientific publications. Dr. Miliæ is a Senior Member of IEEE and a corresponding member of Academy of Engineering Sciences of Serbia.
