Apostles Creed Apostles Creed Prayer to the Holy Spirit Come Holy Spirit, Fill my heart with the Fire of Your Love. I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, (Bow) who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen. Our Father: Our Father, Who art in heaven; hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come: Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. Amen Hail Mary: Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hours of our death. Glory Be: Glory be to the Father, and the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen Fatima Prayer: O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of Your Mercy.

1. The Annunciation Spiritual Fruit: Humility Intention: For the Pope and his intentions and for our personal intentions. Our Father 1. The angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph of the house of David. The virgin s name was Mary. 2. Coming in, the angel said, Hail full of grace, the Lord is with you. 3. Mary was deeply disturbed and wondered what this greeting could mean. 4. The angel Gabriel said, Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favour with God. 5. The angel Gabriel continued, You will conceive and bear a son and you will call His name Jesus. 6. The angel added, He will be great and will be called the son of the most High. 7. Mary said, How can this be since I know not man. 8. The angel Gabriel replied The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. 9. The angel Gabriel further said, therefore the Holy One to be born will be called the Son of God. 10. Mary said, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let what you have said be done the me.

2. The Visitation Spiritual Fruit: Love of Family and Neighbour Intention: For the unborn and life at all stages and for our personal intention. Our Father. 1. Mary hurried to the hill country to visit her cousin Elizabeth. 2. When Elizabeth heard Mary s greeting the babe leapt in her womb and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 3. Elizabeth cried out in a loud voice, Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb. 4. Elizabeth continued, Blessed is she who trusted that the Lord s words to her would be fulfilled. 5. Mary said, My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord and my spirit rejoices in the Lord my Saviour because He looked upon the lowliness of His servant. 6. Mary continued Henceforth all generations will call me blessed. For He who is mighty has done good things for me. 7. Mary proclaimed, Holy is His name and His mercy is from generation to generation for those who fear Him. 8. Mary said, He has shown the strength of His arm. He has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their heart. 9. Then Mary said, He has brought down the powerful from their thrones and lifted up the lowly. 10. Mary continued, He filled the hungry with good things, the rich He has sent away empty.

3. The Birth of Jesus Spiritual Fruit: Spirit of Poverty Intention: For World Peace and Peacemakers and for our personal intentions. Our Father. 1. While Mary and Joseph were in Bethlehem the time came for her to have her child. 2. Mary brought forth her first born and wrapped Jesus in swaddling clothes. 3. Mary laid Jesus in a manger for there was no room at the inn. 4. There were shepherds in that district keeping watch over their flocks by night. 5. An angel appeared to the shepherds and said, Do not be afraid. I bring you tidings of great joy, which will be for all people. 6. The angel continued, Today in the city of David, a Saviour has been born to you, who is Christ the Lord. 7. And suddenly with the angel was a multitude of the heavenly host singing Glory to God in the high heavens, peace on earth to those on whom His favour rests. 8. Wise men came from the east following a star and coming in to where Mary was with the child, the wise men worshipped Jesus. 9. Opening their treasures, the wise men gave Jesus gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. 10. Mary kept all these things in mind and pondered them in her heart.

4. The Presentation In The Temple Spiritual Fruit: Obedience Intentions: For priests and religious vocations and for our personal intentions. Our Father. 1. According to the law of Moses the couple brought Jesus to Jerusalem to present Jesus to the Lord. 2. There lived in Jerusalem a certain man named Simeon. He was just and pious and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 3. It was revealed to Simeon by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death until he has seen the Lord s Messiah. 4. Simeon came to the temple, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and when Mary and Joseph brought in the child Jesus, Simeon took Jesus in his arms and blessed God. 5. Simeon said, Now master you can dismiss your servant in peace according to Your word. 6. Simeon continued, For my eyes have seen the salvation You have prepared for all the nations to see. 7. Simeon further said, A light for revelation to the gentiles and for glory to Your people Israel. 8. Simeon blessed the parents and said to Mary, This Child is destined for the rise and fall of many in Israel. 9. Simeon revealed to Mary, Your own soul a sword shall pierce. 10. Jesus, Mary and Joseph returned to Galilee to their own town of Nazareth and Jesus grew in size and strength filled with wisdom and the grace of God was upon Him.

5. Finding the Child Jesus in the Temple Spiritual Fruit: Joy in finding Jesus Intention: For families and peace in families and for our personal intentions. Our Father 1. Mary and Joseph went each year to Jerusalem for the Passover and when Jesus was twelve they went up as was their custom. 2. As Mary and Joseph were returning the Child Jesus remained behind unknown to His parents. 3. Not finding Jesus among their relatives and friends Mary and Joseph returned to Jerusalem looking for Jesus. 4. On the third day they found Jesus in the temple listening to the teachers and asking them questions. 5. All who heard Jesus were amazed at His intelligence and His answers. 6. Mary and Joseph were astonished and Mary said to Jesus, Son, why have you done this to us. Your father and I have been searching for you in sorrow. 7. Jesus replied, Why were you searching for me? Did you not know I had to be in my Father s house? 8. But Mary and Joseph did not understand what Jesus said to them. 9. Jesus went down with Mary and Joseph and came to Nazareth and was obedient to them. 10. Jesus progressed steadily in wisdom, age and grace before God and man.
