hiloh Youth... making HUNGER our fight... 30 Hour Famine Campaign @ Shiloh WHAT: For 30 hours, we re going hungry to raise funds to help hungry children around the world. WHY: Every day, nearly 8,000 kids are dying from hunger-related causes. The clock is ticking and we are taking action now! HOW YOU CAN HELP: A HUNGERFREE WORLD STARTS WITH YOU. 1. Pledge your Support! Give! Every $40 we raise can help feed and care for a child for one month. Make checks out to Shiloh and give them to the youth you are supporting, or place in the offering tray marked 30 HOUR FAMINE. 2. Volunteer. There are many ways you can help. Join us for an eye-opening Famine weekend on April 28 & 29. 3. Pray. Ask God to bring us together and to help those in need every day. Jesus 7 Words from the Cross April 28 6:00 PM The Shiloh Scholarship Fund The Shiloh Linda Colbert Memorial Scholarship recognizes outstanding spiritual growth and church service, outstanding academic achievement, leadership potential, service to community, and the desire to pursue higher education through its annual scholarship awards. Scholarships are awarded to church members who are graduating seniors and who will pursue post-secondary education at technical schools as well as four-year colleges and universities. Recipients are eligible to receive a one-time award of $1700.(2 scholarships available) Applicants must submit all required documentation: application, letter of acceptance, and forms verifying participation in church ministries. Call Ruth McConnell for application form. DEADLINE FOR APPLYING: APRIL 28, 2016 The scholarship will be awarded at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church on Graduate Recognition Sunday, May 21 at 11:00 AM. Fennish Gardner Scholarship This scholarship is for graduating seniors with a G.P.A. of 3.0 and above. This is a one time (non-renewable) $1,000 scholarship from the Fennish Gardner Memorial Scholarship Fund. All applicants must submit the information requested on the application, neatly compiled in a folder, to Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church by the deadline of April 28, 2017 by 6:00 PM. (Note: To be considered, all of the requested information must be submitted.) The Gardner Family established this scholarship to honor the memory and legacy of a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.
