President Miley and Clair Adams It s October, the year has flown by quickly with all sorts of events in the world, mostly tumultuous, but our events have been mostly great. One would think that what we are doing at Living Waters would be impacted by all the turmoil around us, but I keep getting reaffirmation that this place is a place of refuge. Those who come, see and feel the rest and peace that dwells within these grounds. It is not because we do a good job, but because HE dwells in this place and this place is one of HIS delights. When you come, come expecting and know that the Father wants you to cast all your burdens upon Him. The retreats have been good, but the rest and peace have been better. I refer you to the Psalm 91 scripture that Hazel Long placed in this newsletter at the beginning, it completely says it all. As the Lord leads, pray for this ministry. That, without doubt, is the best protection from the onslaught of the world and the enemy. As the world continually changes, it becomes more imperative that we pray. The Father is not dismayed at what is happening He s right on schedule. We are in the beginnings of gearing up to recondition the Chalet. Without doubt it will be a huge task but one that we can accomplish. There will be much need for volunteer workers. If you are able to help, let B.J. know what you are capable of doing and your schedule so that when the time comes we can schedule you as part of the team. We love each of you and are looking forward to the coming days. Clair and Miley 2 P a g e
Administrator BJ and Pam MacDonald Hello, Living Waters family. We are so blessed and excited to be able to share with you all that the Lord is doing here at Living Waters. We have had three powerful camps, a bountiful harvest time, and a dynamic men s retreat. We are also gearing up for the Fall Retreat here at Living Waters and are so excited about what the Lord is going to do. The summer has been full of campers and adults alike, experiencing God s presence. These camps proved to be some of the most powerful camps we have ever experienced. As we began to prepare for the summer we really felt the Lord leading us to simply make the summer about experiencing His presence. In the beginning when man was in the garden, God s heart was to walk and talk and simply be with His children. Our desire was to do that this summer. With this thought in mind, we prepared encounters for the students in each of the camps, teaching them how to hear His voice for themselves and how to know Him and pursue Him, not just at camp, but be able to carry what they found down the mountain. Pam MacDonald taught the Junior Camp, where we saw over 40 young people come to know the Lord. These students were excited about being in God s presence and were hearing His voice clearly for themselves and others. Daniel Wheeler was the speaker for Senior I Camp. These students were challenged to see beyond what is seen, and be active pursuers of His presence. The Senior II speaker was Tammy O Reilly. The campers at this camp were taught about Encountering the Lord, Embracing the Lord, and Engaging with the Lord. These teenagers were hungry for His presence and were pressing into depths that were truly amazing. Each camp we had incredible worship that pushed us deeper into the depths of Him. We are still receiving praise reports of lives having been changed and campers activating the very things they learned at camp in their everyday lives. I believe this to be the very heartbeat of heaven, to know Him intimately and to be living life from His presence daily. We are so thankful for all that the Lord has done. We believe this summer to be just the beginning. One of the revelations that we have taken away from this summer is that our walk with the Lord should be lived from His presence rather than trying to get to Presence. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 3:18, And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. We are the temple of God and His presence dwells within us. A key in our walk with Him is to contemplate the Lord s glory. Glory, by definition, is His thoughts and opinions. His desire would be for us to daily live, thinking on what His thoughts and opinions are rather than man s. When we do so, He is faithful to move us from one glory to the next glory. I believe His heart for us individually is that no matter the circumstance or situation we look for Him and for His thoughts and opinions in it. Proverbs 25:2 says, It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings. I believe that within our situations, circumstances, feelings, and things we walk through, it is the heart of God to conceal His heart, so that we are able to search out the treasure of His glory in a matter. As we move forward this year it is our desire that the heart of the King be revealed and that we experience His glory in everything that we do. We are believing and rejoicing that each retreat He carries us from glory to glory. Each glory being greater than the former. We are excited about this journey with the Lord and eager to see His fullness be fulfilled as we rest in His presence and hear all that He is saying in this day. Know that each of you are a treasure to us and we are praying God s presence, provision, and purposes be brought about in your lives. 3 P a g e Love and Blessings, Pam and BJ
