Whatever your spiritual disposition-skeptic, seeker, follower - we welcome you and pray that you might hear something of the Good News today! *The congregation is invited to stand. PRELUDE Meditation L. Jacob WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS INTROIT To God Be the Glory sung by Thee Seven *CALL TO WORSHIP Leader: Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, People: for everything in heaven and earth is Yours. Leader: Yours, Lord, is the kingdom, You are exalted as head over all. People: Wealth and honor come from You, You are the ruler of all things. Leader: In Your hands are strength and power, to exalt and give strength to all. People: Of courage and redemption, faith and good news. All: Now, our God, we give You thanks, and praise Your glorious name. *OPENING HYMN Are You Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Elisha A. Hoffman Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power? Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour? Refrain Are you washed in the blood, In the soul cleansing blood of the Lamb? Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow? Are you walking daily by the Savior s side? Do you rest each moment in the Crucified?

Refrain When the Bridegroom cometh will your robes be white? Will your soul be ready for the mansions bright, And be washed in the blood of the Lamb? Refrain Lay aside the garments that are stained with sin, And be washed in the blood of the Lamb; There s a fountain flowing for the soul unclean, O be washed in the blood of the Lamb! Refrain *UNISON PRAYER Almighty God, we acknowledge our need for You in our lives. May we be open to Your activity in this time of worship, in our lives, and in the world. Quiet our busy thoughts and distracted attention so that we can be still and know that You are God. Lead us by Your Spirit to become disciples of Jesus, as we say together the prayer You taught us *THE LORD'S PRAYER (Debts) Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. (Everyone may be seated) CHILDREN S SCRIPTURE Matthew 6:7-14 (pew Bible page 787) (Children are invited to come forward) CHILDREN S TIME (As children leave, please greet those near you.) Rev. Elaine S. Gaetani ANTHEM The Road Home adapted by Stephen Paulus Sung by Thee Seven Tell me where is the road I can call my own, that I left, that I lost so long ago? All these years I have wandered, oh when will I know there s a road that will lead me home? After wind, after rain, when the dark is done, as I wake from a dream in the gold of day, through the air there s a calling from far away. There s a voice I can hear that will lead me home. Rise up, follow me, come away is the call, with the love in your heart as the only song; there is no such beauty as where you belong, rise up, follow me, I will lead you home. 2

Thank-you and God bless. Jean Newton E-PRAYERS AND E-NEWS Two ways our church community can stay in touch with up to date notices and prayer concerns is to make sure you are signed up to receive eprayers and enews. The two programs are separate and intended to have separate content and not be duplicative. Enews is for announcements about our church s activities, and eprayers is for prayer requests, concerns of the congregation, celebrations and other spiritually related matters. To subscribe to eprayers or to submit a prayer request please email your request to eprayers@uccwestboro.org. If you would like to subscribe to enews, contact the church office at 366-2000 or send your request to either brossi6@verizon.net or westboroucc@verizon.net. Once you do, you will then receive an email asking you to subscribe to the service. All you have to do is accept the email and you will be put on the list.
