PSYCHO-NEUROBICS THE CHAMBER OF TAX CONSULTANTS 3, Rewa Chambers, Ground Floor, 31, New Marine Lines, Mumbai - 400 020 Tel.: 2200 1787 / 2209 0423 Fax: 2200 2455 E-mail: office@ctconline.org Visit us at: Website: http://www.ctconline.org Self Awareness Series 25 th November, 2013 In brief we can define Psycho-neurobics as- 'Process of taking cosmic energy present in the universe by the power of mind (the source is GOD) and then transferring it to brain and neurosystem' We can heal any type of disease by psycho-neurobics and activate our seven energy points present in the body. The word psycho stands for 'mind' as we take the cosmic energy through the power of mind. There are three types of neurobics LIGHT NEUROBICS, SOUND NEUROBICS AND EASY NEUROBICS in Psycho-neurobics we integrate all the three neurobics. LIGHT NEUROBICS Light Neurobics with "colours of light(vibgyor)" Colour is a form of vibrational energy that has played an important role in health and healing for thousands of years. The ancient Egyptians built halls of colour in their great temples at hebes and other places, where they researched the influences of light and colour. Each colour of the spectrum is associated with a range of wavelengths, which means that there are hundreds of subtle nuances of colour. Not all of these are visible to the human eye, since colours vibrating at similar rates look very much alike. Violet wavelengths are the shortest, ranging from around 380 to 450 nanometers (nm.). Red wavelengths are the longest, spanning 630 to 760 nm. Different colours affect the mind, body and spirit in different ways and most cultures associate colours with particular qualities, feelings, and so forth. 1

Colour is one of the nine basic 'cures' applied in Feng Shui, the Chinese art of divination and directing energy (qi) to create conditions that are conducive to health, happiness and good fortune. Some basic concepts about different colours are as follow: White: - White is technically not a colour, as it is the result of all the colours mingling together in equal proportions. In the west, it is associated with purity, innocence and cleanliness. Violet and Indigo: - These colours are associated with spirituality, loyalty, divine and love. Leonardo da Vinci claimed that the power of meditation could be enhanced tenfold under the influence of violet rays passing through the stained glass windows of a quiet church. In muted hues, this colour can be helpful for treating headaches, neuroses, and certain forms of schizophrenia and dementia. Blue: - Blue is associated with faith, caring, peace and fidelity. Cornflower and lavender blue in particular represent spiritualism, thoughtfulness, constancy and kindness. Green: - Green is universally considered to be the colour of growth, healing, selfless love and tranquillity. The green colour of plants promotes love and harmony to ease troubled minds. Green is associated with the heart and when we think green, it attracts whatever we need to feel nurtured and calm. Too much green can create a static condition because it alleviates all sorts of stress. Yellow: - Yellow represents patience, tolerance, contentment, happiness, wisdom and mental energy. It helps to expand horizons and brings fulfilment. In China, charms against evil spirits are written on yellow paper. Orange: - Orange represents purity, togetherness and feminine sensuality. Pink: - Pink is a warming, soothing, reassuring colour that represents love and romance. When you feel angry, think pink and the anger will evaporate. Red: - Red is a passionate and stirring colour which relates to will power, life and courage. It is a highly emotional and energizing colour. If you are over emotional or hyperactive, it is best not to surround yourself with this colour. In China, red is the symbol of virtue. Science suggests association of colours for therapeutic purposes Science suggests that there is a basis for these associations. Studies have shown that colour can influence mood, perception of temperature and time, and even the ability to concentrate. It is being used increasingly in hospitals, offices, mental health clinics and prisons to create a positive environment. 2

Red light has been found to speed up the circulation and raise blood pressure, while blue has a calming effect on these processes. The effect is the same even if the patient is blindfolded, which implies that colour does not have to be seen to exert its effects. Blind people can see different colours through their third eye, so it seems highly likely that we respond to different colour vibrations via the subtle anatomy, the subtle bodies, aura and chakras. How a colour therapy works? There are various approaches to heal with colour. Some colour therapists believe that each vertebra is associated with one of the seven spectral colours as well as being related to a particular organ or part of the body. These colours are repeated in sequence down the vertebra, increasing in colour density from the neck to the base of the spine. Visualising different colours through third eye activates the respective subtle energy centres in the body, which in turn direct the flow of energy to the respective systems of body in order to purify and remove blockages and make them healthy. The following table and pictures explain the colours of virtues, subtle energy centre and the respective body systems. 3

SOUND NEUROBICS Learn to Heal Yourself with Sound Neurobics What is sound neurobics? Modern sound therapists suggest that illness occurs when energies relating to mind, body and spirit vibrate at incorrect frequencies. As a result, the whole vibrational being goes out of tune. They believe that there is a natural note which resonates with each individual as well as with each area of the body. Sound can be used in many ways to encourage healing. Most sound therapy involves using the voice, tonal sounds and music, sometimes all three. Some techniques such as cymatics involve using a machine that transmits specific vibrations. Sound neurobics ranges from the simple repetition of mystical words to the more complex rhythms and arrangements of notes, which have the ability to alter our moods and emotions, melt physical tensions, regulate biological processes and raise states of consciousness. Sound causes vibration Sound is a form of vibration. When you pluck the string of a musical instrument, it causes the air around it to be compressed and then expand. This gives rise to sound waves which travel 4

through space at around 330 meters per second. The rate at which the wave vibrates is known as its frequency and is measured in Hertz (Hz). Different tones are produced by change in frequencies of vibration. The higher frequency of the tone, the higher is its pitch. Human have a sonic range (range of hearing) which extends from 20 to 20,000 Hz. Sounds above 20,000 Hz are referred to as ultrasonic. We respond to sound with more than our ears. The entire human energy system responds to the sound waves in our environment. Healing sound synchronises body, mind and soul Ayurvedic medicine uses certain primordial sounds which have a potent effect on the mind, body and spirit. Silently reciting, the appropriate sound in the course of a mantra-induced meditation stills the mind and slows the breathing right down. Studies show that such sounds have the power to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells. Sound waves increase crop production Sound waves and harmonious vibrations are used together with a plant spray containing natural nutrients, and hormones and traditional fertilizers such as compost and manure to provide a safer alternative to chemicals. Bird song also affects the health and growth of plants. During the last 15 yrs, Canadian researchers have been developing an eco-friendly way to boost crop production. Frequencies that open the door of the Invisible doctor Several scientific researches reveal that loading the brain with the frequencies akin to alpha and theta waves may hold the key to instant meditation and creative insight, which opens the door of the Inner physician (invisible doctor). Some high frequencies act as natural painkillers. Frequencies in the region of 2000 Hz are capable of triggering the production of endorphins in the brain, which evoke feelings of bliss, as well as the dull perception of pain. The high frequency waves emitted by dolphins explained the uplifting effects. Tone of healing sound alters the vibrations of every cell of the human body Toning is the vocal release of a vowel sound on a single note. Simple to learn and extremely powerful, the sound alters the vibrations in every cell in the body. After toning, people find themselves inwardly silent and often unable to speak, as if in a mild trance, feel at peace and restored. The sound of someone toning reverberates through the atmosphere and affects all those present. The regular practice of toning can release emotional trauma, ease physical discomfort, promote mental clarity and kindle spiritual love. 5

You can experiment with vowel sounds such as 'eeeee', 'ooooo', 'aaaaa','iiiii', and 'uuuuu', uttering the sound while breathing out and holding it for up to 15 seconds. Consonants such as 'm' and 'n' are sometimes added to the beginning or end of a tone or uttered alone. Ancient Hindu mystics used the 'mmmmm' tone which affects the sixth chakra, or third eye, to open and enhance intuition, stimulate the pituitary and pineal gland to energize the brain. The call to prayer heard five times a day in Muslim countries combines chanting with toning. Native Americans use similar sounds in their traditional chants and songs. Healing Mantra of Invisible doctor A mantra is a poetic hymn, prayer, incantation or the uttering of sacred sounds. Mantras are an integral part of every religious or spiritual ceremony. Christian mantras are referred to as hymns. In Hinduism, it is believed that the sound approximating to the original 'word' ('in the beginning there was the word, and the word was God'), is 'Om Omkar Japa is a Vowel Chanting for Vibrational Healing Chanting of vowels creates pure vibration inside the mind. That is why most of the mantras in all religions are created with vowel combinations. O is the only vowel, which is the combination of A and U (first and the last vowel). Chanting of O creates vibration in the five elements of physical body and humming after chanting O creates vibration in Agya and Crown chakra. Humming creates combination of M and N sound, which are in the middle of the 26 alphabets. Thus, it becomes similar to OM, which creates vibration in whole body. Therefore, it is advisable to start Pranayam with vowel chanting in Dhyan Mudra' for a minute or two and end with similar chanting in Pran Mudra for two to five minutes.om or AUM is the most widely chanted phrase across religions and cultures. Some popular chants with Om resonating are Tibetan mantra-namo Arihantanam Namo Namo and Sikh mantra Ek Omkar Satnam. This is the basic trinity of sounds and the whole music of life grows out of this. Benefits: It helps to stabilize the mind and body in the beginning and strengthen the spirit as the final result. The purpose of chanting is to make your mind still and peaceful and take you beyond the realm of super consciousness. Chanting provides emotional excitement and raises psychic power to a very intense level. Chanting also makes your BP normal, your breathing quietens down and there are changes in the oxygen content of your body. Your heart beats with a different rhythm, alpha waves are created and you feel quiet and refreshed. 6

Chanting of Oooo and Mmmm (HUMMING) with visualistion is the best of the Sound Neurobics, which is the crux of all Pranayams Visualize the naval centre in yellow colour and see a circle spinning at the naval centre and radiating yellow colour throughout the stomach. Synchronize the visualization with the chanting of O. Visualize the heart chakra with a green circle spinning and radiating green colour. Synchronize the visualisation with the chanting of O. Visualise the Ajna chakra in the middle of the forehead with an indigo circle spinning and radiating indigo colour (You can compare the radiation of light to a night lamp of a deep blue colour). Synchronize this visualisation with chanting of Mmmmm. This exercise is done after all other pranayams have been performed. Ooo and Mmm sound can be combined together with breathing out pattern and can be synchronized with colour visualization of the respective Chakras. Concentrate the mind on the act of breathing and meditate on the mantra, Om. With every act of breathing out, mentally go on repeating the Om mantra. Practise slowly so that a stage must be reached when one act of respiration takes one minute. Doing sound neurobics creates the frequency of 2000 Hz in all cells and tissues in our body, which in turn trigger the production of endorphins in the brain, which evoke feelings of bliss, as well as the dull perception of pain. Om Meditation is also known as Udgita pranayam Chant Om and visualize a shower of blissful rays of violet colour on your head (the crown chakra). Feel the showers as if you were bathing in them. You can associate it with the memory of a shower bath and add violet colour. Easy neurobics Neuro muscular integration exercises Various Hastamudras (hand gestures), Asanas (Postures) and a few Pranayama (Breathing exercises) fall under neuro muscular exercises. Along with hastamudras for healthy body, two excellent neuro muscular integration exercises, for abdominal muscles, lungs and shoulders, are powerful breathing and happy breathing. 7

Hastamudra Our body is composed of five elements - earth, water, air, fire and either (sky). These five elements also form our cosmos. These five elements have assigned functions in our body to keep it healthy. After intensive research, Indian sages have found that Hastamudras (hand gestures) are very important, for keeping a balance in the energy that flow among the five elements. All five fingers regulate the five elements of body. These are as follows : - (a) Thumb (B) Index finger (C) Middle finger (d) Ring finger (E) Little finger Fire element Air element Space or aether element Earth element Water element Thus, hastamudras are helpful in maintaining good health and getting relief from diseases also. However if Hastmudras Advantage of neuro muscular and neuro respiratory exercises (Easy neurobics) 1. When neuro muscular integration and neuro respiratory exercises are performed in collaboration with the mind and proper breathing, the effect is immediate. A salutary feeling emerges in the body. 2. The power of concentrated thought is so great, that once we know how to direct it to each part of the body, it will help us to animate and revitalize the whole organism and its all functions may be brought under the control of consciousness. 3. The main object of neuro muscular integration and neuro respiratory exercises is to acquire mastery of the vital forces acting within the body. It also helps to ensure the arousal and liberation of the latent psychic energy in the organism. 4. With the aid of neuro muscular integration and neuro respiratory exercises, we can transform cosmic energy into human energy, thus maintaining the equilibrium of forces within the body. These exercises are useful, not only to revive the body, strengthen the nervous system and regenerate the glands, but also to cure physical and mental illness. They bring the human body under complete control of the soul, through the mind. 5. NEUROBICS are Mind Control exercises to activate your Brain, Mind & Memory and keep your body fit with the help of Breathing, Hand Gestures & Colour visualization techniques to live stress free & happy life. Staying healthy in the present times is more a matter of positive thinking and healthy lifestyle than popping pills and going for medical intervention. Modern science has acknowledged the role of psyche, thoughts and emotions in triggering healthy and unhealthy responses in the body. Whenever we hold something negative in our consciousness, it blocks the flow of life energy in the neuro-endocrinal axis leading to many diseases. Health is Happiness is one of the greatest facts which the sooner we realize better it is for us. Health and Happiness together in life is bound to turn all our dreams into a REALITY.
