In Proverbs 9:2 Wine is the same Hebrew word as in Genesis 49:11, which shows that this wine is not fermented. Some think that mingled is a proof that it was fermented and that it was so highly alcoholic it needed to be watered down, but this is not true. One of the ways of preserving grape juice without fermenting it, was to boil it down to a very thick syrup which was incapable of fermentation. Then when used, it had to be mingled with water to thin it to a drinking consistency. Describe a way of preserving grape juice without fermenting it. Directions: Cut out booklet. Fold in half.
