Names of Allah Al Awal Al Akhir Adh dhahir Al Batin
Class 9 Date: 28 th November 2017 Introduction Every name of Allah will solve an issue which we have in our life. If there are any holes in our heart then the names of Allah fill it for us. Things will not change until we change, and when we change then it means our heart has changed. It s important to nourish our heart with the names of Allah. Allah is Al Awwal in everything and He taught us how to be first in everything. Surah Al Imran 133 Allah is offering paradise to us every second. If people are offered 1000dhs for a race, they ll immediately fight for it and Allah is offering paradise, subhanallah. Impacts of knowing Allah is Al Awwal In the beginning of Surah Al Mu minoon, the characteristics of the believers who attain Firdaous are mentioned. And in the middle of the Surah, there are more deeper qualities mentioned. They hasten to Surah Al Mu minoon 57-61:
If a person has this heart then he will hasten to These qualities are going deep into the core. If a person has these qualities, then he s constantly running to the good deeds, going from one to another, just like the hajj. Hasten to ( سارعوا ): we need to be first in going to Allah without comparing ourselves with anyone. How do we know if we re from the foremost? If we have the below qualities. May Allah help us. They have ( خ ش ی ة ) and this means fear as a result of knowledge, unlike those who fear without knowledge. Surah Fatir: 28 They know their Rabb The Nurturer. Someone might think why would you fear the One Who will upgrade you? But they know they re being nurtured through decrees and the people. They re ) which means they pity and are sorry for their state. They re afraid if Allah deals with them مش ف ق ون ( with justice because they want to be dealt with favor. They know no matter what they do, it can t reach Allah, but they want to be dealt with favor. If you truly know Allah, fear Him and feel sorry for your state then you won t feel proud or arrogant. Knowing Allah Al Awwal removes arrogance. They also feel sorry for their state that they can t fulfill Allah s rights and they feel sorry for their state because they know their faith can be decreased or taken away. They think bad of themselves
because they re afraid they will disappoint and fail themselves. They know Allah is Changer of the Hearts. They don t lose hope or are depressed, but they don t trust themselves. They re afraid of their last moment of death to lose it all, subhan Allah. May Allah protect us. Ameen. If you see someone very fearful but they re not hastening then there s something wrong in that fear. We re not talking about those who pity themselves who say they re good and everyone else is bad, and they re been wronged and oppressed. This type of pity is from the shaitan. And those who believe in the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord This is teaching us we shouldn t forget the basics. We always need to go back to the Quran. No matter how many books we know, we need to go back to the Quran. There can never be any effect like the Quran. Not only should a person not forget the Quran, but he should not forget to reflect on the universal signs. When a person goes back to the Quran, it gives more details to the faith. And those who join not anyone (in worship) as partners with their Lord They do not fall into major shirk or minor shirk either. Minor shirk includes riya a, attachment to the means, superstitions which is to make connections between things that have no meaning, swearing by other than Allah. They re mukhliseen; they re pure in their utterances and actions. They don t smile unless it s for Allah, they don t give unless it s for Allah And those who give that (their charity) which they give (and also do other good deeds) with their hearts full of fear (whether their alms and charities, have been accepted or not), because they are sure to return to their Lord (for reckoning) When they do any good deed, they re afraid. Their qualities start and end with fear. They re afraid when they pray, fast, give sadaqah, and the like, they re afraid it won t get accepted because of themselves. They re not proud of their deeds. Their heart is because of their great magnification of Allah ( جل ;(جلالھ they re so humble before Him. These are the ones who are foremost. Someone might not be doing so many good deeds, but his heart is foremost. And someone might be doing so many good deeds, but his heart is not foremost. The first with Allah is the one who hastens with his heart.
