What are other aspects of the Prayer of the Faithful? It is for the Priest Celebrant to regulate this prayer from the chair. He himself begins it with a brief introduction, by which he calls upon the faithful to pray, and likewise he concludes it with an oration. The intentions announced should be sober, be composed with a wise liberty and in few words, and they should be expressive of the prayer of the entire community. They are announced from the ambo or from another suitable place, by the Deacon or by a cantor, a reader, or one of the lay faithful. The people, for their part, stand and give expression to their prayer either by an invocation said in common after each intention or by praying in silence. General Instruction of the Roman Missal, 71 Gospel: Matthew 22:34-40 Adults: In a practical sense, what is one thing that would change your life if you loved your neighbor as yourself? Children: Why is it hard sometimes to love your neighbor? How can you do a better job of following Jesus Commandment? Instrucción General del Misal Romano, 71 PLEASE PRAY FOR THE SICK AND THEIR CAREGIVERS IN OUR PARISH Pray that these parishioners may find comfort and healing in Christ: Tita Gutierrez, Dolores Mendoza, Ronald Bingham, Dan Lucchesi, Marely Zaragoza, Cheryl Smith, Mary Lou Knisley, Destanie Jessen, & Eleanor R. Gonzales Please call Jenny Marquez at 320-5719 to add or remove names from this list. You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. Matthew 22:37 Do you put other gods before God? Is your love of money, power, status or some personal possession greater than your love for God? Do you really recognize that everything you have and everything you are is a gift from God? The good news it s not too late to put God first in your life in all things.

Thanksgiving will be here before you know it and as we pause to give thanks every day for so many blessings, it is time to start preparing to help families in need in our parish and community with their Thanksgiving table. The Presentation Food Pantry is already preparing for the annual turkey food basket distribution on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 1:30 to 2:30pm in St. Ann s meeting room. Last year with the help of YOU, our generous parishioners, we were able to provide 160 food baskets. The baskets included a turkey and all the trimmings including canned fruit, canned pumpkin, cranberry sauce, broth, boxed stuffing, boxed mashed potatoes, and canned gravy. Remember everyone CAN make a difference and we gladly accept any donations of canned and dry goods as well as fresh or frozen turkeys. If you would like to donate, volunteer or have questions, please contact Lori Freitas at (209) 481-0042. Thank you to all who generously support our Food Pantry by giving their time, talent and treasure. God bless you!
