4 March Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You for the opportunity in the coming weeks to practise spending more time daily in meditating on Your Word of truth, and in prayer and praise. Lord Jesus, we love You because You first loved us. However, our hectic lives and the many distractions oftentimes get in the way of our developing a deeper and stronger relationship with You. Holy Spirit, help to reorder our schedule and priorities, beginning with Ash Wednesday this week, so that during this season of Lent, we will indeed rediscover how deep is the Father s love for us and just how much He wants the very best for each of His children, as we abide in Jesus. 5 March Archive Our Gracious Father, we thank You for all Your great works in Trinity Methodist Church since 1956. We want to thank You also for all our pioneer members faith in action when they boldly trusted You and went ahead to start this church in Serangoon Gardens. Lord Jesus, we pray for wisdom and guidance for the Archive as it faithfully serves to archive the church records and document the events of the church as well as God s Hand in her history. 6 March Dear Father, You are indeed a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love. Thank You Lord Jesus that I am most precious in Your sight. You died for my sake to rescue me from eternal condemnation. 7 March Youth Dear God, we pray that You would raise up radical disciples in our Youth : young people who are hungry for You and willing to be set apart to do Your will. We pray for the YM leaders to catch Your big vision for this. Lord, increase their faith and direct them in the way to go. We pray also for an awakening in all the youths hearts, asking that You open their eyes and soften their hearts, and that they begin living out a vibrant faith.

Help all to reach out warmly to pre-believers with commitment and compassion. 11 March Communications Lord of all creation, we thank You for the creative skills of those within the Communications team. We thank You for the faithfulness of those who serve within and for the bonds of friendship forged. We pray that, in coming up with new ideas, in writing, design, photography and other communications, the Comms team will not get carried away with beauty for beauty s sake. We pray that the team will constantly remember that their priority is to point others to God and to help others deepen their discipleship in Christ, and in so doing, to grow in faith themselves. May every task be done with a heart of gladness and a spirit of excellence for Your glory. God, our Provider, we also pray that You send to the Comms team more writers, designers and photographers as it takes on more responsibilities. Please also send a webmaster in Your good time.

12 March Lord Jesus, draw me to Yourself as I behold Your cross. May my ears be sensitive to Your voice amid the noises of this world. Let me be grateful for what You have done for me. Give me discernment and courage to do the will of the Heavenly Father. 13 March Pastors Dear God, we pray for good health for our pastors. We pray for Pastor Ho Soon that he will be more disciplined and diligent in carrying out his daily exercises to strengthen his back and legs. Pray that You will keep Pastor Peter in good health and for Pastor Alvin to keep to his exercise routine. Help them to eat carefully and rest well. We commit their marriages and families to you. Pray for Pastor Ho Soon and Pastor Peter that as they prepare to enter into a new season of their marriage that they will grow in their relationship. Pray for their families that God will protect them always. Pray that all of them will enjoy ample and meaningful family time. Pray for Pastor Ho Soon as he prepares for retirement from ministry in the Methodist Church at the end of this year. Pray that God will continue to show His will beyond retirement. Pray for Pastor Peter that God will continue to guide him. Pray for Pastor Alvin that he will have strength for the task ahead and godly wisdom to handle each situation. Keep our pastors close to God and be effective as they shepherd this congregation and beyond. 14 March TMC Kindergarten Almighty God, we pray that our Kindergarten will be a strong outreach arm for TMC. Let the Kindergarten touch lives of the children, parents and staff. In Your beautiful time, may they gladly receive Christ into their lives as Lord and Savior. Holy Spirit, enable all who serve and/or work in TMCK to be the salt and light for Him so that His will be done. Let Your will also be for the enrolment this year to increase.

Some among us are indeed privileged to have witnessed Your goodness and faithfulness over and over again. You, and only You O LORD, have always been the source of our strength and comfort when the going gets tough. We thank You from the depths of our hearts. We pray for Your grace and mercy for all the Boys of 47 th Company and their respective families too. Open the Boys eyes that they can behold Your wondrous truth as revealed in Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Give them faith to believe in Him. Use the BB as an effective instrument to bring the Boys into the Kingdom of Heaven. Let Your Spirit transform their lives for their good, for the good of others, and for the greater glory of Your Name. 18 March Finance / Stewardship Almighty God, we pray for faithful stewardship of the spiritual gifts and resources given to us. Let us use them wisely in the workplaces (offices, schools and homes) and in Your kingdom. Help us not to misuse them or be lazy. May we work wholeheartedly, remembering that it is indeed God we are serving and not men. When our labour brings earthly rewards, would You remind us to store our treasures in heaven and remember what John Wesley had said, Earn all you can, save all you can, give all you can. May we honour You with our first fruits and not give You what is left over. Grant the Finance Committee godly wisdom and prudence as they serve You faithfully. Deploy all our cheerful tithing, gifts and offerings for the extension of Your Kingdom!

19 March O Lord, give me the courage to confess and repent when I slip and sin. Comfort me with Your ever-ready willingness to forgive and accept me. Increase my love for You daily. Help me to trust and obey You in every situation. Make me sensitive to the needs of the people around me by giving me Your grace to be a blessing to everyone I meet. 20 March Children s Dear Almighty God, we pray for Your Holy Spirit to ignite the hearts of our children, parents, guardians and all CM Workers to love and seek You with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. May they discover and know the hope to which You have called them, the riches of Your glorious inheritance for them, and Your incomparably great power as they put their trust in You. Father, anoint our Children s s teachers who faithfully prepare and teach the weekly lessons. Pray for the children to understand these lessons and grow in their fear of the Lord, which gives them wisdom. We pray also for the programs and plans for 2014 to be Spirit-led and to have excellent support of the parents, the teachers and the children. 21 March Worship & Music Heavenly Father, our Lamp, the Alpha and the Omega, we worship and thank You for Your faithfulness and providence in this *. Fill Your servants with the Holy Spirit. Give them humility in seeking Your will as they build this to glorify You and to extend Your Kingdom. Almighty God, show each one of them exactly what Your purpose and plan is, and enable them to serve in Your excellence, out of love, in unity and faith in Jesus Christ. Lead them to walk with You by faith and not to depend on their own strength and experiences. May the teaching of the Word make each worshipper a strong disciple of Christ. We ask that our brothers and sisters in the Mandarin Service congregation be united in one spirit and accord, empowered by the Holy Spirit and ever willing and ready to do Your Great Commission. 25 March Women s Society Of Christian Service (WSCS) Dear Heavenly Father, help our ladies in TMC to love the Lord and make Him their rock, fortress, refuge and deliverer. For those facing challenges in fulfilling their roles as mother, wife and employee, as well as for those who struggle with health and emotional issues, we pray that they fix their eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of faith. Pray with our WSCS leaders to support the Evangelistic Outreach on 5 April 2014 organized by TRAC WSCS-cum-Witness & Evangelism. May our ladies ask the Holy Spirit to know who they should invite for the sessions on Managing Emotions by Pastor Benny Ho and Victory Over Fear by Ms Lee Joo Choo. Finally, we pray for the ladies in Glory TMC, our sister church in Cambodia. Pray that God will empower them to witness and minister to the women in their hometown or workplaces who do not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior.

26 March Lord Jesus, there are many today who worship things, people or false gods, only to find the object of their worship to be fleeting. Teach me today to bow down in reverence before You the King of kings. You alone are worthy of all my adoration! Whenever I read the Scriptures, please open my eyes to see the beauty and love of Jesus. Regardless of my circumstances, may I praise You with all my heart, mind, soul and strength. Also, show me someone to whom I can go to bless and share Your love during the week: either by offering a kind word or an apology, a gift or a helping hand, or simply to pray for this person. 27 March Church Governance Committee Almighty God, we pray for Your direction to steer a clear path for the Corporate Governance Committee s work. Give them Your wisdom and counsel in upholding good governance of the church s activities carried out through the various ministries. We pray for understanding and co-operation of everyone concerned so that through it all, TMC will benefit from the unity of purpose and all the effort put in. 28 March Young Adults Our Father in Heaven, we thank You for our relatively new and for providing these willing young adults in leadership as well as resources and support. We pray that You will continue to nurture and grow the Young Adults according to how it should be granting their leaders the wisdom to align their goals and activities to Your will. Also, guide these leaders in their personal lives and carry them through their daily challenges so that they may serve You out of rest and joy.

2 April Lord Jesus, You who were tested in every way, help me to know Your Word and depend on Your Spirit in all my temptations and difficult moments. I trust that You will not let me be tempted beyond what I can bear. I ask for Your grace and strength to submit fully to Your will which is always the best for me. May I never forget that all these light and momentary troubles are achieving for me an eternal glory that outweighs them all. 3 April The Girls' Brigade (GB) Almighty God, we want to praise You for Your faithfulness as the Girls' Brigade had been awarded the Gold Award for 2013. We thank You for bringing these young girls from Serangoon Garden Secondary School to join this uniform group. We pray that through the GB activities, discipline that is instilled in the girls, and the lifetransforming power of Your Holy Spirit, they will become better leaders. Almighty God, we thank You for all the teachers serving in this ministry. Continue to renew their strength as they look to You so that they will soar on wings like eagles, will run and not grow weary, will walk and not be faint. 4 April Pastor-Parish Relations & Staff Committee (PPRSC) Heavenly Father, we give thanks for a new pastoral team led by Pastor-in-Charge, Pastor Alvin and also for the PPRSC members. We pray that you bless them and their families represented. Lord, we pray for their faithfulness in using the spiritual gifts You have given them for Your work in TMC and the community. Bless Pastor Alvin and Robert Yeo with grace, love and wisdom in leadership matters. As they build up the body of Christ with the laity, may Your plans and purposes for this church be fulfilled and Your Name glorified. Father, we uphold the church staff in prayer too, that they have good health, cheerfulness and Your favour in carrying out their responsibilities. Let each one of them be a good witness for You. May TMC be a home to all who enter to worship within its doors, and also a blessing as the family reaches out in love to serve the community.

We pray for Your continued blessings upon them and their families. Grant them favour and grace. Give them good health, joy and peace at home. Prosper them in the marketplace. Help them to live out Your Word daily and to glorify Your Name. We pray for all in our midst who receive the call to serve You. May they humbly respond with gratitude and do Your will in however big or small ways, so that Your purpose is fulfilled through this community of faith in TMC. 8 April Outreach & Social Concerns - Chen Su Lan Home & Befrienders Dear Father, fill our hearts with Your love and compassion as TMC desires to be a place where all children from Chen Su Lan Home (CSL) can find love and hope. May Your will be that every child and youth at CSL comes to know You as Lord and Father. Help us to build them up in the faith so they become beacons of light for their families. Also, strengthen and grant wisdom to all the staff in the Home as they provide supervision and care. We pray for the families represented by these children from CSL: for reconciliation in relationships, freedom from bondages that trap them, and Your victory over very tough circumstances. Let Your Light shine through in every dark and bleak situation. LORD Jehovah Jireh, You know of some needy families to whom TMC church members serve as their befrienders. May You meet all the supplies for these needy families. Also, empower the befrienders with Your Spirit as they bring cheer and joy to these families.

9 April Heavenly Father, help me to constantly remember in my daily life that Jesus had to taste death so that we may share His life. As I meditate on the cross where Jesus died, I am reminded again of God s pursuit of mankind and Your great love for Your creation. Father, I cannot thank You enough because I know that nothing will ever separate me from the love of Christ. I am blessed indeed for He has promised to never leave me nor forsake me. 10 April Small Group Almighty God, we pray for every person in small groups in TMC: that the reality of God in their lives will be a testimony and encouragement to those around and others will be drawn into these communities too. We pray that as they are blessed, they in turn will bless others. We pray for the leaders called to shepherd these groups. Continue to give them the passion for ministry, to disciple and to care for Your people. Give Your leaders strength, perseverance and wisdom. Keep them humble and reliant on You in all things and at all times. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, so that they will be spiritually refreshed to minister effectively. We ask You for new leaders in our midst so that even more lives can be blessed. We pray for these persons to step forward humble and trusting boldly in You, serving an Almighty God with deep conviction. 11 April Outreach & Social Concerns (IMH and Contact 123/Youth Avenue) Dear Heavenly Father, we pray for the ministry to the residents of IMH. By faith, we rest on Your power to reach out to them. We proclaim the Spirit of the LORD to be upon the volunteers to preach the Good News, to proclaim freedom, and to release the oppressed. May they love the residents as You love them. We ask for Your divine protection upon the volunteers and all their loved ones. We pray for every volunteer as TMC seeks to develop Contact 123 into a youth dropin centre (known as Youth Avenue). We pray that they will have a heart for the youths in the Serangoon North neighbourhood, to help them realise their potential and to make sound decisions. We pray for Your creative inspiration so that practical programmes and ways that impact these youths will be developed and carried out.

Dear Heavenly Father, we give thanks to You for journeying with us since Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. We pray for ourselves, our family and loved ones, our church leaders and Pastors because we know that no one is immune from struggles with the sinful nature. Draw us closer to You every day and let us not rely on our riches, strength, success and wisdom. Help us to put our hope and confidence in God alone. This Holy Week, give us special moments with You when we attend the worship services and the prayer vigil that have been organised. May the love of God our Father give us the peace which surpasses understanding. May the grace of Christ, Your risen Son, sustain and strengthen us. And may the fellowship of God the Spirit make us one in spirit and in heart. 15 April Prayer & Intercession Dear God, we thank You for the way this has been led and sustained all through these years. We pray for the committee members that they will always seek You first in everything and obey Your will. Lord Jehovah Jireh, we ask for like-minded brothers and sisters in Christ to join this prayer team so that together, they will encourage each other to faithfully pray for the Pastors and leaders, as well as for the congregation to have a close communion with You. Lord Jehovah Rophe, may You also bless our Healing. We pray for more helpers to come forward and for God s mighty works to continue in ministering to His people both within and outside TMC.

16 April Praise God for Your grace and the work of the Holy Spirit. I acknowledge the power of God to do for me what I cannot do for myself. Whether one is overcoming sinful habits, preaching, teaching a class, leading a choir or being a godly spouse in the home, one cannot succeed without the grace of God! As Paul wrote in Philippians 2:13, For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. Almighty God, I confess my sins and transgressions, asking for Your pardon. May I submit to the Holy Spirit daily and live as an obedient child of a wonderful Father, who provides everything that I need for life. Help me to overcome my forgetfulness and keep the cross of Christ always before me as a reminder of what it costs You to buy my freedom - from sin and eternal death. 17 April Discipleship and Nurture Dear Father, we pray for the Discipleship & Nurture (D&N) in our church. We pray for Your guidance to the D&N committee as they plan and offer bible classes and nurture us in our spiritual growth. Grant them wisdom in implementing an overall roadmap for us as disciples of Christ, and for all to learn and hang on to every Word that comes from You. Draw us close to You. Cause us to love Your Word because it brings us life and gives us health. As we choose to devote time and energy to our D&N, teach and transform us more and more into the image of Jesus, the Greatest Teacher. For this, we offer up our thanks. Help us Lord for we desire to be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. 18 April N.A. this prayer is for every believer of Christ Father, we thank You that it s Good Friday. It is also in another sense God s Friday because Jesus brought the Father glory by finishing the work God gave Him to do (John 17:4). May we deeply appreciate the obedience of Jesus our Lord who loved us so much as to die on the cross to save and restore us in our relationship with God our Creator. Loving Father, send us on from here this Friday as Your obedient partners and servants, as You continue to work out Your rescue and restoration plan for the whole world, for Your glory. Amen.
