Welcome to First Worship! We extend a welcome as broad as the outstretched arms of God, who calls us to be here together to rejoice in God s glorious presence. Welcome to children of all ages to all the children of God, each one of us. If you are an old friend or here for the first time, we welcome you. Our worship is an intergenerational experience and we want children to feel fully included. Children are welcome to pick up an activity bag and to bring snacks to their seats. We remember that worship offers us all a special place to be with God. In this space we talk a little more softly and walk a little more quietly. We are listening for God.

Youth Choir Rehearsal Wednesday, 6:15 pm Village Churchmen Luncheon Meeting Tuesday, November 15, 12 Noon Occupy Boston is the subject at the next meeting of the Village Churchmen. Our guest will be a UCC minister who with an Episcopal priest celebrated communion on Dewey Square last month. Inspired by the Arab demonstrations the occupy movement in this country is headed toward becoming a major political issue in 2012. This meeting provides an opportunity to increase our understanding of this movement and why it will be as difficult to address in the U.S. as it has been in the Arab world. For information contact Ken Chaulk at 781.237.2594 or kchaulk@verizon.net. Village Church Prison Ministry Group Thursday, November 17, 7 9 pm Are you interested in mentoring someone who is serving time in prison? Would you like to learn about issues pertaining to the criminal justice system and discuss the impact that mass incarceration is having on low-income families and communities? Would you like to know how the United Church of Christ is responding to these issues? If the answer is YES then please come to the first meeting of the Prison Ministry Group. The group will meet once every other month (on a Thursday evening) and each member will also do about 6 prison visits a year. For more information email Diane Anderson at deanderson7@gmail.com.
