The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith APOSTOLIC NEWSLETTER www.thechurch-apostolicfaith.org Volume 3, Issue 1 January 2012 W e know that the Lord is the supreme being who created everything and rules all and everything. This is the reason why we give Him all of the honor and respect that He certainly deserves and is due. After all, who else carries such authority and power? Who else are we able to say has the same knowledge? Regardless of any degree or level of learning man has and in spite of all of the years and years of studying, no one has been able to equal or surpass the understanding of God. It would only make sense that if we say that we possessed this realization that our whole lives would be dependent upon God and everything that He desires us to do we would do willingly. Do we really trust God? Do we really have the faith and the assurance that Why Do We Trust God? God will supply all of our needs? Are we willing to believe and to be obedient to His word trusting that He knows that this is what is best for us? Jesus died on the cross for the sins of this world. He was without sin but still gave His life so that we today would have an opportunity to everlasting life. There is no greater love that can be shown than this. So when we know that we are in the will of God and are in trouble and do not know what to do, we should unquestionably and humbly go to God for guidance and assistance knowing that He is thoroughly capable of bringing us out of any condition. As the scripture says in Psalm 115:11 "Ye that fear the Lord, trust in the Lord: he is their help and their shield.." We should not place more reliance in ourselves or anyone else above the Lord. Mankind will fail but God will never fail. Again the scripture reads in Psalm 118:8 " It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man." This is only reasonable. Man has no power or strength to do anything except what has been given to him by God. The Lord knows all about us and after all He is the one who made us. Since this is the case, whatever state that we may find ourselves in whether we are poor, jobless, lonely, weak, persecuted, sick or afflicted with anything in any way, we know that the Lord will provide relief, healing and deliverance to us if we are in His will. As Jeremiah 17:7 reads Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. Continued on page 3 47th Church Anniversary It has been 47 years that the Lord has truly been blessing, leading and guiding us on to victory. We the saints of the most high God are continuing to hold up the blood stained banner witnessing to this one and only plan of salvation. Another year has come and we are still growing spiritually pressing our way on. We are also thankful for Bishop V. Bush and his steadfastness in laboring in the word of truth. The spirit of the Lord was truly with us in all of the services during this meeting. The hearts of the saints were encouraged by the fellowship and unity. We are determined to hold on and to give God the praise and honor he is due. Inside this issue: Words from the Pastor 2 Why Do We Trust God Theme 3-9 Announcements 10

Apostolic Newsletter 2 Words from the Pastor Search the Scriptures By Bishop V. Bush the apostles preached and decide to follow something else different, then the apostle called you a fool. Greetings everyone, we greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We invite everyone regardless of your national origin or religious beliefs to come and visit us at The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith. Bring your bible, notepad and pen and check up on the gospel we are preaching by what is recorded in the holy and divine scriptures. If you honestly and sincerely do this you will discover that we are 100 percent in harmony with that that has already been declared by the Lord Jesus Christ and the apostles and prophets. When you do not believe in what the Lord has set up, then you are not in tune with the Lord. Check the scripture out and it will let you know when you are getting it right and when you are not getting it right. If you have any kind of idea or any kind of opinion about the Lord, make sure that you get that idea from the scripture. Make sure it just isn't something that somebody thought of. Make sure that it is not just because you got a religious conviction and decided, "I am certainly going to live for the Lord and I believe this or I believe that." Jesus Christ said, "He that believeth on me as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." Search the scriptures. This is what will give you the assurance that you are believing in the Lord the right way. If you belong to an organization that a man set up, you ought to ask him, "What scripture is it that caused you to set this kind of movement up?" And when he search for scripture, he will not find any because you are not going to find one scripture anywhere where the Lord told a man to build a church. He has done all the building. Remember the scripture states in John 5:39: "Search the scripture; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." That's the reason why when we come on the radio I tell you to get your bible, your notepad and pen and examine what we say according to the scripture. And if you sincerely do that you will find that in everything we tell you, we have some scripture supporting it. We tell everyone that you have to repent and get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and be filled with the Holy Ghost and continue steadfastly in the teachings of the apostles, otherwise your belief is in vain. Now I can back that up with scripture. If you have an idea or an opinion different than what the apostles had, then your belief is in vain. Where ever you get the revelation from, even if you say you got it out of heaven and an angel brought it to you, then I have bible that that is a curse. I heard Paul talking in Galatians 1:6 "I marvel that you are so soon removed from him that have called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another.." Now the Galatians decided to follow something else other than what the apostles preached and Paul called them fools. When you hear what So Paul said in Galatians 1:6, "I marvel that you are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another, but there be some that trouble you.." That is all they are doing is making trouble and confusing your mind. "... and would pervert the gospel of Christ." If they have the authority and the power, they would change what the apostles preached. So when you built your church and got thousands following you, hasn't a thing changed. Now remember Jesus Christ said "Search the scriptures" Whatever you believe today, see if the scripture has anything to say about it. May God bless you and may God help you.

. Apostolic Newsletter 3 We as saints know to put our trust in God. Why do we trust God? Continued from page 1 Bro. Turner of Dallas, Texas writes: Why we trust God The church is a spiritual institution made not with blood nor by the will of man but of God. They that worship God must worship him in spirit and in truth. We believe in God. We believe in the word of God. Therefore we trust in him in every way. Our thoughts and our mind, the way we live and talk are by the power of God. He commanded it. He ordered it. Therefore, we that made up our minds,. presents our bodies a living sacrifice holy and acceptable to God. Trust and believe in him. God made us for his glory. We are made after the similitude of God. Our mind, our heart, our whole body belong to God. We don t have no right to do what we want to do with our bodies or even think what we want to think. He wants all your heart, mind, soul and strength and to trust and believe in him. As the scripture states in Philippians 2:5 "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:" And also in Romans 8:4 "That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Amen. Bro. Maxie of Lufkin, Texas writes: Praise the Lord Saints of the most high God! My name is Brother Maxie. I trust God because of Genesis 1:1" In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.." In Genesis 2:7 " God also formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. In Isaiah 44:24, Thus said the Lord, thy Redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the Lord that make all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spread abroad the earth by myself;." The word tells me in Psalm 146:3-4 "Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help, his breath go forth, he return to the earth.." but to trust in the Lord with all my heart, and lean not unto my own understanding. Hell and destruction are before the Lord, so why trust man? As many as God love he rebuke and chasten. In Moses' days he that despised Moses law died without mercy under two or three witnesses; Vengeance belong unto God. It s a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. In Hebrews 11:6 it says "Without faith it is impossible to please him, for he that come to God must believe and trust God that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."so saints let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our heart sprinkled from evil conscience, and bodies washed with pure water. I want to thank God also for the man of God Bishop V. Bush who is letting the spirit use him. As Ecclesiastes 12:10-11 states "The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth. The words of the wise are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd." We have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities so saints let us believe and trust God and come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. So I believe so have I spoken. Peace be unto you all

Apostolic Newsletter 4 Why do we trust God? Continued from page 3 Sister Cathy Hunt of Lufkin, Texas writes: Mother Gertie Mae Anderson of Dallas, Texas writes: Praise the Lord saints. I trust God because he died and gave his life for me. When men turn their back on you God would not do that to me. He said he will not leave me or forsake me. If God had not given his life for me who would I be able to have trust in? I know that I will not go wrong for trusting in the one who gave his life for me. Whatever God says it will stand forever. I trust God because he is my all and all. I will always put my trust in God. Peace be unto you Holy Greetings everyone in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I give double honor to Bishop Bush. Why Do We Trust God? I trust in God because He is my creator and the only wise God my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In the Lord will I put all of my trust. God is a good God and a God that cannot lie, but is trustworthy of all things. His words are full of truth and grace and I can depend on him for his loyalty and faithfulness. He is a wonderful counselor, the almighty God, everlasting father and the prince of peace. In knowing this, it brings pure trust and comfort to my soul. This is why I trust God. Peace be unto you all Sis. Cathy Sister Norma Carter of Dallas, Texas writes: I trust God because he is the maker and creator of all things. There's nothing a man can do or say that could compare to the powers of God. No one is greater or has the ability to perform all the wonderful works like God. The word gives me the knowledge to trust God and have faith in him, because without him I could do nothing. All through the scriptures he demonstrated his powers of deliverance to many and because of his reputation they believed and were blessed. Now, when I put my trust in him, I know he's there to carry me through, only because I believe on him according to the scriptures. I realize to trust is to Love, believe, honor and obey God. Rest in the truth that is in God's word and your soul will be blessed! Peace be unto you Sister Norma J. Carter

Apostolic Newsletter 5 Why do we trust God? Continued from page 4 Sister Conta Robertson of Lufkin, Texas writes: I want to give all the glory and honor to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and double honor to Bishop Bush. Praise the Lord saints of God. I trust in God because he is the creator of all things, the ruler of all things and he is the almighty God. He is my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I trust in him because he promised us a great plan of salvation. I trust in him because his words are true and he promised his blessing to us. He gave his life for us for he loves us that much. No one else can do the things that God can. I trust in God because he gave me a second chance to do what I know is right to do. God always say what he mean, that is why I trust God. My Lord and savior Jesus Christ gave me the victory over the devil. I trust in him because he is the head of my life, number one in my life and can do all things. Peace be Love you all Sis. Conta Robertson Sister Scholanda Murphy of Lufkin, Texas writes: Why do I trust God? I trust God because he is my everything in life. God is my shield in the time of need. God is the hope in my life and God is the head of my life. He will never guide me wrong. God can do all things. He can heal and he can save. Jesus Christ is the king of kings and the only king in my life. I love god with all my heart, mind, body and soul. My life is in God hands and he supplies my every need. That's why I trust God. Peace be love you all. Sister Katryce Bush of Dallas, Texas writes: Praise the Lord and holy greetings to all of the saints of God. I honor my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and give double honor to Bishop V. Bush. The reason that I trust God is he is the originator of everything and the lord of it all. For this reason I fear and obey him. He only has the power to save, heal and to deliver my soul from everlasting destruction. No one else has this authority and superiority. He is the only source that I can go to for any and everything. No matter what happens along the journey of my life, I know that God is there every step of the way. I also trust and believe in God wholeheartedly because he has always been there for me as my perfect friend. I have been taught that the word is God and will not pass away. This lets me know that I can trust God because he is a sure anchor. I know if I continue to take heed to his word I will stand and not fall. I will trust God always for no other help such as this do I know. Peace be unto you.

Apostolic Newsletter 6 Why do we trust God? Continued from page 5 Sister Barbara Hurts of Lufkin, Texas writes: First of all, I want to give all my glory and honor to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is the head of my life. I give double honor to Bishop Bush and honor to all the saints of God. The reason I trust God is because he is the father, creator, son in redemption and Holy Ghost in my soul. I trust God because he gave me life, he delivered me from all of my sins and because he hasn't failed me yet. I trust God because he delivered me from a sinful world. He promised me righteousness and heaven if I can stand on his word and live the holy and sanctified life he planned for us. I trust God because he is there for me through my ups and downs, through my pain and suffering through my sickness, through trials and tribulations. I trust God because he can give me everything that I need. We are put here for one reason, and that is to be holy without blame. That's why I don't lean on my own understanding. God is my bright and shining star that gives me love, peace, joy, strength, patience, wisdom and hope. That is why I trust God. Sister Yolanda Porter of Lufkin, Texas writes: Praise the Lord saints.
