Day 1 Friday, July 20, 2018 ENROUTE Travel to Washington, DC Hotel Check In CUFI Summit Registration check in and package pick up at hotel Dinner will be on your own Friday Tour for Cornerstone Church (San Antonio Travelers) Package Tour bus will pick up San Antonio group at BWI Airport upon arrival then travel to Gettysburg, PA to tour Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Battlefield
Day 2 Saturday, July 21, 2018 Faith of Our Founding Fathers Tour Today we will visit museums and sites representing America s founding fathers and see how their strong faith in God influenced the rich Biblical heritage of our nation We will begin our day with a stroll through the exhibits of the magnificent Museum of the Bible and learn about the Bible s roots in ancient Israel as well as its impact on the founding of America and as a worldwide political and cultural force today. Then enjoy a boxed lunch as we take a beautiful drive to Mount Vernon, the plantation home & estate of President George Washington & his wife Martha and tour the plantation grounds to see their mansion and the family tomb as well as visit the education center and gift shops. While in Virginia, time permitting, we will stop by Pohick Episcopal Church, the congregation of our countries most prominent families: President George Washington, George Mason, and Thomas Farifax as well as drive by Gunston Hall Plantation and Mansion, the home of US founding father, George Mason. Following these showcases of American history we will visit the National Archives Museum and see the Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. During our late afternoon touring we will visit the White House Visitor s Center and gift shop and take a stroll through Lafayette Square to see the White House, Eisenhower Executive Building and Stephen Decatur House, as well as St. John s Church also known as the Church of the Presidents.. Then we will enjoy a group at Carmines Italian Restaurant. After dinner we will visit Signers Island Memorial dedicated to the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence, the Jefferson Memorial and see the Washington Monument Breakfast is on your own. Boxed lunch and group dinner are included.
Day 3 Sunday July 22, 2018 Sacrifice: Freedom Is Not Free Tour Today s tour will focus on those that sacrificed to protect and defend our liberty We will begin our day at the Arlington National Cemetery where we will visit the various points of interest and memorials within the cemetery such as the Kennedy Tombs, the Eternal Flame, Chaplains Memorial, Space Shuttle Memorial, and our group will participate in a special wreath laying ceremony and the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. If time permits we will also visit Robert E. Lee s Home and the Iranian Hostage Rescue Memorial. In the afternoon, following a brief lunch break, we will travel to the Iwo Jima, WWII, Korean, Lincoln, Vietnam, and Nurses in Combat Memorials. Next we will drive to the National Law Enforcement and American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorials. After our day of touring we will enjoy a lovely sit down group dinner with Diana Hagee at Clyde s of Gallery Place. Following dinner we will proceed to the Convention Center for the CUFI NATIONAL SUMMIT LAUNCH with the Daughter s for Zion Praise & Worship Service. Following service you will walk back to the hotel which is next door to the Convention Center Breakfast & Lunch is on your own. Group dinner is included.
Day 4 Monday July 23, 2018 Christians United for Israel National Summit & Night to Honor Israel Today you will walk a short 3 blocks to the Convention Center to participate in the CUFI Summit sessions. Enjoy lunch on your own at the Convention Center followed by afternoon sessions. You will have an evening break so you can refresh and have dinner on your own before returning to the Convention Center. *Please refer to the schedule in your CUFI Summit Packet A boxed lunch from the CUFI Café provided. Breakfast & Dinner are on your own Day 5 Tuesday July 24, 2018 CUFI Summit & Capitol Hill Congressional Appointments CUFI Summit sessions during the morning followed by Congressional Appointments at Capitol Hill There will be shuttle buses running from the Convention Center to Capitol Hill and back Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner will be on your own.
Day 5 Tuesday July 24, 2018 Evening Tour Tuesday evening s tour will center on those that sacrificed and led America to protect and defend liberty as we visit the following sites: Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial Martin Luther King Memorial Air Force Memorial 9/11 Pentagon Memorial The evening will conclude with a beautiful illuminated driving tour of D.C. Monuments & buildings Day 6 Wednesday July 25, 2018 Day of Reflection Touring and Prayer Before returning home, we will spend our final day in Washington DC in reflection of our Vacation With A Purpose. We will start our final day of touring at Library of Congress, Capitol Hill and the Supreme Court with docent tour inside the courtroom. Then we will proceed to visit the Holocaust Memorial Museum to reflect on the most horrific event in world history of inhumanity and the capacity for evil and moral surrender and strengthen our resolve to never allow such horror to occur again. Following the morning touring and before we depart for the airport, we will then gather at a special location for special time of prayer for America and Israel Breakfast is on your own. A boxed Lunch will be provided on our way to Reagan (DCA) Airport Travel home: Please schedule your return flight home to depart no earlier than 4:00 PM on July 25 th from Ronald Reagan (DCA) Airport Due to traffic, weather and crowd conditions, the order and days sites are visited is subject to change
