This enrolment guide is for new students commencing in 2018. For students who have commenced studying prior to 2018, please refer to the Master in Arts for continuing students enrolment guide or contact the studentsupport@ac.edu.au. Course Structure of Study The Master in Arts award comprises of: 2 Core subjects 4 subjects in an area of specialisation (Major) One of the below 4 Elective subjects and RES501 Research Project OR 5 Elective subjects and RES500 Independent Guided Research To be eligible to graduate with the Master in Arts, a candidate shall accrue at least 120 credit points, including satisfactory completion of the rules noted below. Maximum of 6 subjects (60 credit points) at 400 level Minimum of 6 subjects (60 credit points) at 500 level. Area of Speacialisation Major The following are the Majors offered in the Master in Arts. You are to select one major and complete the requirements: Pastoral Ministry Christian Studies Cross-cultural Ministry Elective Subjects If you have completed the requirements of an area of specialisation (Major), any additional unit completed within the major or other major is classified as an elective subject. Any unit that is not within the Master in Arts award is classified as an elective subject. Before enrolling into an elective subject, ensure that you have met the pre-requisite for that unit. For example, COM505 Intercultural Communication is a unit outside of the Master in Arts award. You must meet the pre-requisite by have completed RES401 Postgraduate Research and Writing.
