Schulz says that language was the major barrer durng the frst few weeks of school but that classes are much easer now. AN ORDINANCE pursuant to the Townshp Rural Zonng Act. beng Act 184 of the Publc Ads of Mchgan of 1943, as amended, to amend and supplement the Vergennes Townshp Zonng Ordnance The Townshp Board of Vergennes Townshp, Kent County, Mchgan hereby ordans that the Vergennes Townshp Zonng Ordnance s amended as follows 1 Secton 3.08.B. "Permtted Uses' s hereby repealed. 2 Secton 4 15, Moble Homes s amended to read; 'Moble homes shall not be used for dwellng purposes wthn the Townshp unless located wthn a moble home park as herenafter provded or unless used n accordance wth the followng; A Permanet Resdences. A moble home may be elgble for use as a sngle famly dwellng wthn the R-A, R-l and R-2 dstrcts; provded, however, that t meets the heght, lot area, set back and sde lne spacng, and floor area requrements specfed for a permanent sngle famly resdental use n the dstrct n whch the moble home s to be located In addton, the moble home shall comply wth the followng standards n order to assure that f wll compare favorably wth other sngle famly housng permtted n the dstrct 1 The moble home shall meet standards for moble home constructon as contaned n the Unted States Department of Housng and Urban Development (HUD) Regulatons and ttled Moble Home Constructon and Safety Standards effectve June 15.1976 as amended 2 There shall be a mnmum nteror floor to celng heght of 7.5 feet, 3 There shall be a mnmum wdth throughout the entre length of the moble home of 22 feet measured between the exteror part of the walls havng the greatest length 4 There shall be a foundaton around the entre exteror penmeter of the moble home of concrete or block of a mnmum depth of 42 nches below grade wth a maxmum heght of 16 nches exposed of foundaton above grade of the same desgn as requred by the Constructon Code as adopted by the Townshp for sngle famly resdences 5 There shall be a crawl space below the entre bottom of tbe moble home of 3 'eet wth a vapor barrer consstng of a mnmum of 2 nches of concrete on the floor of the crawl space provded wrth adequate drans to dram any accumulaton of water m the crawl space 6. The moble home shall be frmly attached to the foundaton so as to be watertght n such a way as water wll not enter 7 All wheels, towng mechansms and tongues shall be removed and none of the undercarrage shall be vsble from outsde the moble home. 8 There shall be connected to the moble home a well and septc system approved by the county health department and or publc water and sewer f avalable 9 Steps and'or porch areas shall be- permanently attached to the toundaton where an elevaton dfferental exsts between any door and surroundng grade 10 There shall be a mnmum of a double ptched roof of not less than 3-1 2 feet of rse for each 12 feet of run; and the roof coverng shall meet the requrements of the constructon code as adopted by the Townshp 11- The exteror sdng shall meet the requrements of the constructon code as adopted by the Townshp 12 There shall be no addtons to the lvng space of the moble home unless It meets all the requrements hereof and s bult accordng to the same standard as the moble home. 13. There shall be a mnmum of 2 doors to provde means of ngress and egress from the moble home 14. Salboat Rummy can be played wth three or more people, two full decks are used to nclude the jokers, and the jokes and deuces are w ld. The game conssts of fve hands. Sx cards are dealt n the frst hand, seven n the next and so on. To go dow n on the board n the frst hand you must have two books of three (three of a knd). In the second hand you need a book of three and a run of four (same sut). In the thrd hand two books of four, n the founh. a book of four and a run of fve and n the ffth two runs of fve. A plaver cannot play on other books and runs on the board untl the turn after that plaver has gone down on the board. Play conssts of pckng the precedng player's dscard and dscardng another card, or placng the top card from the deck on the precedng player's dscard and salng t to the next player (hence the name Salboat Rummy), then drawng the top card from the deck and dscardng. The object s to have he least amount of ponts at Ihe end of fve hands. Scorng s ffty ponts for jokers slll n vour hand, twenty for deuces, ten for face cards and tens, all others are fve. We plav usng the rule that n order to go out. a player must hav e a non-playable card to dscard. From my descrpton you probably cannot begn to comprehend how frustratng, nfuratng, and downrgh drty ths game can be. but after you've played l once and the person next to you has saled you an unwanted card about eght lmes n a row. or has saled you a card that you can't dscard because the next player needs l. you'll know what 1 mean.
