Class Name: SEVEN CHURCH AGES LESSON: 1. Start with background Lesson comes from the Book of Revelation written by Jesus and penned by John John the Revelator (not the Baptist) on the Isle of Patmos Describe the Isle of Patmos and why John was there Set up the vision.. 2. Read the Scripture, stopping at each verse to explain and dramatize 3. Points John went on to write what he saw, which was the present and future. o John was living in the Ephesian Church Age. The other church ages were addressed to the future. Each one of these different church ages describes a specific period in time for the church. They all have a year that they started and they all have a year that they ended. o For example, the first church age (the Ephesian Church Age) began in the year AD 53, soon after Jesus died on the cross. o Use the picture on page 7 to point out each age and messenger. o Explain that the light in the circles means the true Church through each age and the darkness is the false church. Messages and messengers o Point out the messages given to each of the seven different church ages in the book of Revelation. o Star means messenger or angel (stars on page 7) All the angels were great men of God. Example story of one of these great men: St. Martin and the Emperor. (Emperor was scorched out of his seat because he wouldn t respect St. Martin.) Do you know who our angel/messenger is? o Brother Branham! Brother Branham has the Message for our day! o How do we hear our Message? By the tapes! We are living in the seventh church age. The very last one! o The Laodicean Church Age m2

o Started in the year 1906 o Means lukewarm o It s the most evil church age. That s why the Message Brother Branham brought is so important to us. We need it to escape this evil time! Revelation 10:7 o The seventh angel was to complete all the mysteries of the Bible: the mystery of God should be finished. o The revelation of the church ages is one of the mysteries that God revealed to Brother Branham, and Brother Branham preached it for us. Flannel board o Brother Branham preaching at the Tabernacle Brother Branham drew the church ages on a blackboard The Pillar of Fire came down and drew it exactly the same way on the wall at the Branham Tabernacle. This vindicated what Brother Branham taught was the Truth. o Show them the picture of what Brother Branham drew. (page 7) o Drawn on a Sunday during the message 61-0108 Revelation, Chapter Four #3. Seven Church Ages book o Show and explain the book. o Brother Branham, by the Holy Spirit, wrote it after going back and listening to the recorded tapes on the seven church ages. 4. Set up the quote Have the students raise their hands when they hear the words: o church ages o drawed 5. Key points Use the picture on page 7 as a visual for the answers. There are seven church ages. There are seven angel messengers (or stars). First age is Ephesus. Messenger is Paul. Last age is Laodicea. Messenger is Brother Branham. Revelation 10:7 says the seventh angel messenger would reveal the mysteries of God. m3

o Brother Branham did that, and the church ages are just one of those mysteries! The seventh church age messenger was also to call a Bride out of the church age, and we are that Bride! 6. Project Emphasize each church age name and messenger. Encourage kids to memorize the church age names and the messengers. Scripture: 9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. Teacher: Review the Isle of Patmos and talk about John s tribulation. 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Teacher: A trumpet means an announcement! Get ready. I m going to give you the revelation of Jesus Christ, to give to the Church. I will speak to you, what will be the destination of the world, for those who receive and those who reject. 54-0512 11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. Teacher: Point out those names on page 7. 12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; Teacher: Point out the candlestick on page 7. Brother Branham said that the correct translation for candlestick is lampstand. 13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. Teacher: This verse is referring to Jesus Christ. He was girded about His paps (the breast) which meant He came as a judge. m4

14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; Teacher: What did His garment look like? Hair? Eyes? White head and hair means He is a judge. Eyes as a flame of fire means He stands there as an angry judge and He could look right down into the heart of a man and know all about him. 15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. Teacher: What did His feet look like? Brass means Divine Judgment. What did His voice sound like? Water means a multitude of people. 16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. Teacher: What was in his hand? Right or left? Right hand means the power and authority of God. What do the seven stars represent? What came out of His mouth? What is like a two-edged sword? Countenance means the expression on one s face. 17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: Teacher: John fell as a dead man...but wasn t actually dead. 18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Teacher: Who could that have been? 19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; Teacher: John was told to write what he saw; he not only saw the present, but he also saw the future. 20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches. Teacher: Stars are angels (messengers); candlesticks (lampstands) represent each church age. Acts 1:9-20 m5

Quote: And, by the way, has anybody ever heard them tapes on the church ages? On the last time I had those ages drawed out there on the blackboard, and the Heavenly Father knows this is true, when I completed it with the best I could, under the inspiration that God would give me, that Angel of the Lord that you see in the picture (many have seen that picture, haven t you, that Light?), It came right down in the room, before about three hundred or four hundred people, went right over on the side of the wall (as a Light like that) and drawed those church ages by Itself. We all stood there looking at It, watched It draw the first church age, the second, third, and fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh. Now, there s people sitting here that s a witness of that. Raise up your hand if that s so. The Bible said, In the mouth of two or three witnesses. Everyone sitting there, screaming and everything else, I said, There! Now, you ve wanted to see It, everybody can look right at It. Eleven o clock in the day, standing right there on the wall, and drawed off those church ages, just which much Spirit, and then the darkness to show that the Spirit was smothered out and went through the Dark Age and come right back down again, just the way I had it drawed. And we got it, pictures of it, and everything drawed, hanging on the wall. And there it was just exactly. It must have been that the Spirit of the Lord was satisfied that that was completed, cause He come back and vindicated that that was right. And we re living in the Laodicean Church Age, the rich church age that thinks they have need of nothing, and don t know that they re naked, miserable, blind; and don t know it, see. Now, all those, typing. Rev. William Marrion Branham 63-0116 The Evening Messenger Quote Minute Marker: 29:54-31:27, paragraph 63-66 m6
