I. We should seek and search for the A. The wise men searched for Matthew 2:1 Now after Yeshua was born in Bethlehem Luke 2:4 Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, Matthew 2:1-2 1 Now after Yeshua was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying, 2 "Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him." Genesis 3:15 15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, and you shall bruise him on the heel." Genesis 12:3 3 And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed." 2

Genesis 22:17-18 17 indeed I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your seed shall possess the gate of their enemies. 18 "In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice." Genesis 49:8-10 8 "Judah, your brothers shall praise you; your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies; your father's sons shall bow down to you. 9 "Judah is a lion's whelp; from the prey, my son, you have gone up. He couches, he lies down as a lion, and as a lion, who dares rouse him up? 10 "The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until Shiloh comes, and to him shall be the obedience of the peoples. Numbers 23:7-9 7 He took up his discourse and said, "From Aram Balak has brought me, Moab's king from the mountains of the East, 'Come curse Jacob for me, and come, denounce Israel! 8 "How shall I curse whom G-d has not cursed? And how can I denounce whom the L-rd has not denounced? 9 "As I see him from the top of the rocks, and I look at him from the hills; behold, a people who dwells apart, and will not be reckoned among the nations. Numbers 23:20-22 20 "Behold, I have received a command to bless; when He has blessed, then I cannot revoke it. 21 "He has not observed misfortune in Jacob; nor has He seen trouble in Israel; the L-rd his G-d is with him, and the shout of a king is among them. 22 "G-d brings them out of Egypt, He is for them like the horns of the wild ox. 3

Numbers 23:23-24 23 "For there is no omen against Jacob, nor is there any divination against Israel; at the proper time it shall be said to Jacob and to Israel, what G-d has done! 24 "Behold, a people rises like a lioness, and as a lion it lifts itself; it will not lie down until it devours the prey, and drinks the blood of the slain." Numbers 24:5-7 5 How fair are your tents, O Jacob, your dwellings, O Israel! 6 "Like valleys that stretch out, like gardens beside the river, like aloes planted by the L-rd, like cedars beside the waters. 7 "Water will flow from his buckets, and his seed will be by many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted. Numbers 24:8-9 8 "G-d brings him out of Egypt, He is for him like the horns of the wild ox. He will devour the nations who are his adversaries, and will crush their bones in pieces, and shatter them with his arrows. 9 "He couches, he lies down as a lion, and as a lion, who dares rouse him? Blessed is everyone who blesses you, and cursed is everyone who curses you." Numbers 24:16-17 16 The oracle of him who hears the words of G-d, and knows the knowledge of the Most High, who sees the vision of the Almighty, falling down, yet having his eyes uncovered. 17 "I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near; a star shall come forth from Jacob, a scepter shall rise from Israel, and shall crush through the forehead of Moab, and tear down all the sons of Sheth. 4

Numbers 24:18-19 18 "Edom shall be a possession, Seir, its enemies, also will be a possession, while Israel performs valiantly. 19 "One from Jacob shall have dominion, and will destroy the remnant from the city." I. We should seek and search for the B. King Herod searched for I. We should seek and search for the B. King Herod searched for Matthew 2:3-4 3 When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 Gathering together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the was to be born. Matthew 2:7-8 7 Then Herod secretly called the magi and determined from them the exact time the star appeared. 8 And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and search carefully for the Child; and when you have found Him, report to me, so that I too may come and worship Him." 5

I. We should seek and search for the C. Jewish leaders should have searched for Matthew 2:5-6 5 They said to him, "In Bethlehem of Judea; for this is what has been written by the prophet: 6 'AND YOU, BETHLEHEM, LAND OF JUDAH, ARE BY NO MEANS LEAST AMONG THE LEADERS OF JUDAH; FOR OUT OF YOU SHALL COME FORTH A RULER WHO WILL SHEPHERD MY PEOPLE ISRAEL.' Micah 5:2 2 "But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, from the days of eternity." Isaiah 7:14 14 "Therefore the L-rd Himself will give you a sign: behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel. 6

Isaiah 9:6-7 6 For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty G-d, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6-7 7 There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness from then on and forevermore. The zeal of the L-rd of hosts will accomplish this. I. We should seek and search for the D. We should search for II. We Should Worship The 7

They worshipped the King Matthew 2:11 11 After coming into the house they saw the Child with Miriam His mother; and they fell to the ground and worshiped Him. Then, opening their treasures, they presented to Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Psalms 68:29 29 Because of Your temple at Jerusalem Kings will bring gifts to You. Psalms 72:10-11 10 Let the kings of Tarshish and of the islands bring presents; the kings of Sheba and Seba offer gifts. 11 And let all kings bow down before him, all nations serve him. 9

Isaiah 60:1-3 1 "Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the L-rd has risen upon you. 2 "For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the L-rd will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you. 3 "Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. Isaiah 60:5-6 5 "Then you will see and be radiant, and your heart will thrill and rejoice; because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you, the wealth of the nations will come to you. 6 "A multitude of camels will cover you, the young camels of Midian and Ephah; all those from Sheba will come; they will bring gold and frankincense, and will bear good news of the praises of the L-rd. II. We Should Worship The D. We should believe and worship Conclusion Luke 2:9-10 9 And an angel of the L-rd suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the L-rd shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. 10 But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; 10

Luke 2:11, 13 11 for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is the L-rd. 13 And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly hos praising G-d and saying, Luke 2:25-26 25 And there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon; and this man was righteous and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel; and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 26 And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the L-rd's. Luke 2:27-30 27 And he came in the Spirit into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Yeshua, to carry out for Him the custom of the Law, 28 then he took Him into his arms, and blessed G-d, and said, 29 "Now L-rd, You are releasing Your bond-servant to depart in peace, according to Your word; 30 for my eyes have seen Your salvation, Luke 2:36, 38 36 And there was a prophetess, Anna the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. 38 At that very moment she came up and began giving thanks to G-d, and continued to speak of Him to all those who were looking for the redemption of Jerusalem. 11

John 1:41, 45 41 He found first his own brother Simon and said to him, "We have found the 45 Philip found Nathanael and said to him, "We have found Him of whom Moses in the Law and also the Prophets wrote - Yeshua of Nazareth, the son of Joseph."
