Dear Parishioners: I would like to thank the Staff and Societies of St. Rita's Parish and School for sponsoring last Sunday's "Meet and Greet" for me and our new Principal, Mrs. Nicole Fresca. I would also like to thank our parishioners for making me and Mrs. Fresca feel so welcomed and at home here. May God bless all of our parishioners with continued faithfulness to the Gospel message. May St. Rita continue to shower us with her many spiritual graces. I would like to thank the Kerala Catholic Association for a very spiritually uplifting Novena and Feast Day in honor of Our Lady of Good Health. I was so impressed by the piety and devotion of those who attended the nine nights of prayer. It was beautiful to see so many families and young people so devoted to our Blessed Mother! The music and singing, flowers, Altar Servers and Prayer Leaders added to the solemnity of the celebration. It was my privilege to participate in the festivities. The Parish of St. Rita is also thankful for the generous donation of $4,000 which the Kerala Catholic Association made to our Parish. May Our Lady of Good Health bestow her graces upon all who participated in these great days of prayer! In Christ, Fr. Eugene Carrella Adults who would like to enrich their knowledge of the faith, as well as those adults of our parish who would like to complete their sacraments and enter fully into the Church are welcome to attend the classes. Sessions will be held on Mondays at 7pm in the Parish Center, beginning September 22nd. Please bring a bible to class. At the first meeting we will discuss topics of interest that we would like studied. CCD NEWS The CCD Parent s meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 18th at 7pm in the gym. Representatives from our parish organizations (choir, scouts, and sports) will also address the parents. The Annual St. Joseph s Seminary Collection will be taken up next weekend at all the Masses. Thank you for your prayers and generous support. 2) Jack SanFelice & Danielle Lombardo CATECHETICAL SUNDAY Sunday, September 21st at 9:30am Catechetical Sunday is a day in which those who are called to the vocation of catechist in parish faith formation for Catholics recommit themselves to their ministry.
