Pray. Give. Go. As a church, we ve embraced Jesus Great Commission (Matthew 28:16 19) and have accepted God s call to cross-culturally share the Gospel. We do this with a global ministry focus on: At-risk children Marginalized families Creative church planting This means we partner with organizations, roll up our sleeves, and help: Prevent the exploitation and trafficking of children Provide food, housing and nurturing environments to orphans Assist families in crisis due to poverty or natural disaster Creatively launch new churches in places in need of the Gospel Wow. That s a game-changer. How do you do that? We do it together. Everyone who attends PAC has the opportunity to help change the world by making an annual pledge to pray, give and go. Really? What s my part in it? PRAY: Faithfully pray for our global partners using a monthly email update as your guide. Our Prayer Goal: 1,500 people praying. GIVE: Ask God what He wants you to give this year, above your regular offering, in support of our global partnerships around the world. Our Giving Goal: $500,000. GO: Ask God where He wants you to go to serve those in need as you grow in your faith. We re offering 13 short-term missions in 2018. Our Go Goal: 200 people serving on teams. Use the enclosed pledge card to share with us the steps of faith God wants you to take this year. We ll receive your pledge card during our Global Outreach Weekend, and together we ll celebrate how God will use your pledge to bring His hope around the world. Got questions about the Pray, Give, Go pledge or anything else in this Go Guide? Email missions@princetonalliance.org, or call us at 609.799.9000 x20. 2 2018 GO GUIDE
Getting Started It takes faith to respond to God s call to serve Him on a short-term mission. It takes effort to raise support for your team. Here s what you need to know before you go on a mission. Note that some details may vary for youth missions. Start by completing the 2018 PAC Mission Team Application online at princetonalliance.org/missions. Candidates cannot be considered without first submitting the application. A deposit must accompany the application (deposit varies by trip). The deposit indicates your commitment to serve and is applied toward your trip expense. Credit or debit cards are accepted online. To pay by check, call the church office at 609.799.9000 x20 for a payment code to use online. The deposit is refundable only if PAC is unable to provide a position on a team. For trips not designated as youth missions, candidates under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult who takes legal and spiritual responsibility for the minor on the field. A notarized release form is required if the adult is not the parent or legal guardian. Once your application has been reviewed, you will be notified of your status and any subsidy eligibility. Space is limited. Teams fill quickly. Apply early. PAC attenders are eligible to apply for one subsidy per year a 50% subsidy on their first-ever PAC adult or family mission and thereafter, a 25% subsidy on your first mission annually. Participation on subsequent same-year missions is at full cost. Subsidies vary for youth missions. Those who don t attend PAC are not eligible for subsidies. Team members are responsible for the cost of the trip (minus any applicable subsidy). You can raise financial support through contributions from family and friends. These gifts honor a team member but support the overall team because contributions to named individuals are not tax deductible. You are encouraged to build support through social media and PAC's online giving link. However, you may not raise funds through fundraising sites like GoFundMe.com. If you raise more individual support than is required, that overage supports the team and is not refundable. If the total team support exceeds the team budget need, the overage offsets the team s subsidy provided by PAC. Team members will not be refunded the overage amount. Remember, when God calls you, He will equip and fund you. Trust Him. PRINCETON ALLIANCE CHURCH 3

TO APPLY, VISIT PRINCETONALLIANCE.ORG/MISSIONS About the Region Our teams serve in Campinas, in the country s southeast region. It is the third most populated city in the state of São Paulo, with a little over a million residents. In Brazil, 32 million children are born into families that make less than $40 (US) per month. That is a prevailing factor in why so many children are forced to live on the streets and fend for themselves, unaccompanied by adult relatives. 8 2018 GO GUIDE
About the Ministry Hope Unlimited s vision for Brazil was launched in 1991 when thousands of vulnerable street children were systematically killed by gunmen hired by local business owners. The purpose: To eradicate a public nuisance. Many of those who survived fell into slavery, drug trafficking and prostitution, leaving a huge number of the next generation lost. PAC and Hope Unlimited have been ministry partners in Brazil for over 20 years. Hope Unlimited rescues street children from a life of poverty, abuse and exploitation. Since its founding, thousands of at-risk children have completed Hope s programs, which provide housing, education, life skills and trade skills in a Christ-centered environment. Hope also serves its graduates through transition homes and graduates families through outreach programs. Approximately 85% of Hope s graduates are in stable living situations, meaningfully employed and active in a local church. Team Projects Team 1 will serve at the City of Youth in Campinas. They ll split their time between work projects and investing in the children who live on this 35-acre campus. Work projects include landscaping, cleaning, painting, renovating, building and physical care of the facilities. Teams show the love of Jesus to the children in simple ways like playing games, celebrating birthdays, facilitating friendly competitions and attending Sunday worship services. Team 2 will also serve at the City of Youth hosting and leading a special summer camp experience for 100+ boys and girls, facilitating activities, crafts, games, worship and more. PAC-Supported Missionaries Your gifts to the Great Commission Fund help support the ministry needs of Hope Unlimited. Prayer Requests Appropriate staffing to meet the diverse needs of the children The children to receive God s grace and healing in their lives Protection against children being influenced by their former ways Wisdom for founders Philip & Corrine Smith as they lead The funding needed to continue serving these children well ADULT & FAMILY MISSIONS 9

Cost includes airfare, meals, lodging, transportation and ministry supplies. TO APPLY, VISIT PRINCETONALLIANCE.ORG/MISSIONS About the Region Santiago, Dominican Republic, plays an important role as a cultural, industrial and economical center in the country. The picturesque beauty of the country naturally lends itself to a growing tourism industry. Although it is also a leading exporter of sugar, rum, textiles, and cigars, poverty is pervasive and the majority of citizens live in hardship. There s a wide disparity between economic classes as the wealthiest 10% of the population accounts for nearly 40% of the national income. Upward mobility is difficult despite free education, as many children must work to supplement family income. Acquiring basics such as clean drinking water, food and appropriate housing are daily challenges for many. 12 2018 GO GUIDE
About the Ministry Mission TwentyFive35 is a ministry whose founders have a deeply rooted relationship with PAC and the Dominican Republic. Missionaries Rick and Tammie Romano work closely with the national church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Ministering to marginalized families in the lower class, they share the hope of Jesus by offering resources needed to purify drinking water. Through these efforts they actively support and seek to plant churches. Team Projects Team projects include but are not limited to assisting with construction at a water filtration plant, building and expanding local church facilities, and constructing and repairing homes for families in need. There are also opportunities conducting kids day camps, working with children at an orphanage, helping the elderly at a nursing home, serving those who work at a landfill, and spending time with children in the cancer ward of a city hospital. PAC-Supported Missionaries Your gifts to the Great Commission Fund help support the ministry needs of Rick & Tammie Romano and their daughters Rebekah, Abby, and Moriah. Prayer Requests God s wisdom for the direction of the ministry Protection from the enemy Foundations to help finance ministry projects Summer ministry groups participating in projects Sensitivity to the Holy Spirit s leading in working with the national church s Christian and Missionary Alliance leadership ADULT & FAMILY MISSIONS 13

TO APPLY, VISIT PRINCETONALLIANCE.ORG/MISSIONS About the Region India is the second most populated country in the world with over 1.2 billion people. It s a pluralistic society, meaning there s tolerance for diversity among religious cultures and traditions. This makes sense, as Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism originated here. According to a 2011 census, nearly 80% of the population practices Hinduism, with Islam being the second most widely practiced religion in the country at 14%. A multilingual, multiethnic society, India has one of the fastest growing economies in the world with a rising, young working class. However, 2013 data shows the average annual per capita income is $1,250 (US). Overcrowding in urban areas creates a wide variety of social challenges including availability of appropriate housing, sanitation, food and clean drinking water. 16 2018 GO GUIDE
About the Ministry Established in 2005, Partners India International is an indigenous-led, Christian missions agency committed to strategically proclaim the Gospel to the most unreached and unengaged people groups. It offers leadership development by equipping Bible students for their call to ministry. It also offers compassion services in which the love and hope of Jesus are demonstrated through medical camps, literacy and development programs, AIDS awareness and skilled-labor training programs. Team Projects Teams 1 and 2 will support Partners India International as it reaches into villages outside of two large northern cities. These missions involve ministering to village children, distributing health and hygiene kits, providing medical support (when teams include qualified medical personnel), mentoring pastors and students, teaching English at local schools, offering basic computer training, engaging in question-and-answer sessions with college students, speaking to teenagers about God s love, distributing food, and more. PAC-Supported Missionaries Your gifts to the Great Commission Fund help support the ministry needs of our missionary families. The safety of all of our missionaries is critical to us. Some serve in parts of the world that require additional sensitivity. If you would like to know more about our missionaries in India, please contact the PAC Global Outreach Ministry at 609.799.9000 x20. Prayer Requests The equipping of new pastoral students to impact unreached regions with the Gospel Church planters serving amidst persecution and hardship Grace for the ministry leadership team, as its been under scrutiny for its Christian beliefs Protection and financial provision of the missionary families we support ADULT & FAMILY MISSIONS 17

Emergency Response T E A M S It s not uncommon for natural disasters to occur in the United States and neighboring countries as we saw in 2017. Through your generosity and sacrifice, PAC was able to send out six relief teams to Houston and the Dominican Republic last year. Thank you. In 2018, we will continue to develop teams that will quickly respond to emergencies both in and out of state. Depending on circumstances and locations, our teams may partner with other churches or organizations (such as Operation Blessing) to maximize resources and impact. If you re 18 years of age or older and are interested in being on call to serve on a team, contact us at missions@princetonalliance.org, or call 609.799.9000 x20. 26 2018 GO GUIDE
