Preparation for Worship As you enter Sanctuary, please prepare your heart for worship silence your mobile devices. At times our enemies of world, flesh, devil seem too powerful for us. Persecution, moral compromise, doctrinal compromise prove menacing destructive. When it looks like our enemies are winning, we remember that Jesus promises that nothing will destroy His church. As King, He restrains all of His enemies will eventually conquer m establish His kingdom. For this, we delight to worship our eternal King. Question 26 of Westminster Shorter Catechism reminds us of what King Jesus does: He subdues us to himself, rules defends us, restrains conquers all of His our enemies. As a result of worship today, may Spirit empower you to: Fully surrender throne of your heart to your King. Name your rival kings pseudo saviors confess your idols. Pray expect big things from your good mighty King. John Newton reminds us of how we should pray to our God: Thou art coming to a King, large petitions with e bring; For His grace power are such, none can ever ask too much.
