THIS AND THAT Two weeks from today we will be celebrating Easter Sunday. Next Sunday is Palm or Passion Sunday. We will bless palms to start our 10:30 and 12:30 Masses outside at the entrance to Fullmer Hall. From there the procession will walk down the street and enter the church through the main entrance. Come early and be a part of the procession! This is all predicated, of course, on some decent weather. Our 4:00 and 8:00 Masses will have a simple blessing in church. Palm Sunday is also our day to celebrate the Living Stations of the Cross. This new parish tradition will take place at approximately 9:15 AM next Sunday in church. Stay after the 8:00 Mass or come early for the 10:30 Mass. Religious Education students from 8 th grade and high school levels under the direction of their catechists will lead us in this time of prayer. Come and pray with us. Speaking of praying, the Women s Guild Retreat is next Saturday morning, April 12 th. This retreat is open to all adult female members of our community. Because of space limitations, there are only a certain number of places available. You need to register and today is the registration deadline. Check at the office today, and see if there is still space available. Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday. We will offer a Reconciliation service with individual confession on Monday of Holy Week at 3PM in church. Wednesday of Holy Week finds our Seder Meal which is based on the Jewish Passover meal at 6PM in the rectory. For more information and to sign up for the Seder see the article in this bulletin. The Mass of the Lord s Supper is scheduled for 7PM Thursday of that week. We end our Mass that evening in silent adoration. Good Friday services are also at 7PM and include the veneration of the Cross. Holy Saturday begins at 7PM with the lighting of the Paschal candle 2 on the steps of the church. We move from darkness to light and joy. I invite you to be a part of one or all of these special moments of prayer. I particularly invite you if you never have been to church during Holy Week. Come and see what you have been missing. May God bless us all, Fr. Gunnar Roth Cwik Son of Daniel and Brigette Payton James Stachacz Son of Bradley and Taryn CRS Rice Bowl Reflection: Haiti This week, CRS Rice Bowl invites us to enter into solidarity with the people of Haiti. We are encouraged to reflect on the Catholic social teaching principle, Call to Family, Community and Participation, and reminded that, as social beings, we are called to seek God together. Let us pray this week for our brothers and sisters in Haiti and all around the world, that our families and communities may be strengthened and blessed. TO ALL ST. DENIS WOMEN! You are invited to the St. Denis Women s Guild Annual Retreat to be held on Saturday, April 12th at the St. Denis Convent. We look forward to our own Sister Norine Burns conducting the retreat which will begin at 8:30 am with coffee, tea and treats. A hot lunch will be served at noon followed by a prayer service at 1:00 pm and dismissal. Our Adrian Dominican Sisters have graciously offered the use of their dining room and meditation areas for our retreat. The fee is still $25 per person which can be placed in the collection basket, mailed or dropped off at the rectory by Sunday, April 6th. Reservations are limited to the first 27 payments received. We would love to have you join us on this Lenten journey!

A JOURNEY OF HOPE: JUSTICE FOR IMMIGRANTS We should not be content with laws that punish hardworking people who want only to provide for their families. George W. Bush Open our eyes and open our ears so that our hearts can be changed In Loving Memory at Easter time Remembering our loved ones at Easter time is a St. Denis tradition. You are invited to contribute to our liturgical celebrations during this Easter Season with a $5 offering, per intention, toward the fund used to adorn our church. Donors intentions which have been received no later than TOMORROW, April 7th will be displayed at the entrance of the church.
