THIS AND THAT Two weeks from today we will be celebrating Easter Sunday. Next Sunday is Palm or Passion Sunday. We will bless palms to start our 10:30 and 12:30 Masses outside at the entrance to Fullmer Hall. From there the procession will walk down the street and enter the church through the main entrance. Come early and be a part of the procession! This is all predicated, of course, on some decent weather. Our 4:00 and 8:00 Masses will have a simple blessing in church. Palm Sunday is also our day to celebrate the Living Stations of the Cross. This new parish tradition will take place at approximately 9:15 AM next Sunday in church. Stay after the 8:00 Mass or come early for the 10:30 Mass. Religious Education students from 8 th grade and high school levels under the direction of their catechists will lead us in this time of prayer. Come and pray with us. Speaking of praying, the Women s Guild Retreat is next Saturday morning, April 12 th. This retreat is open to all adult female members of our community. Because of space limitations, there are only a certain number of places available. You need to register and today is the registration deadline. Check at the office today, and see if there is still space available. Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday. We will offer a Reconciliation service with individual confession on Monday of Holy Week at 3PM in church. Wednesday of Holy Week finds our Seder Meal which is based on the Jewish Passover meal at 6PM in the rectory. For more information and to sign up for the Seder see the article in this bulletin. The Mass of the Lord s Supper is scheduled for 7PM Thursday of that week. We end our Mass that evening in silent adoration. Good Friday services are also at 7PM and include the veneration of the Cross. Holy Saturday begins at 7PM with the lighting of the Paschal candle 2 on the steps of the church. We move from darkness to light and joy. I invite you to be a part of one or all of these special moments of prayer. I particularly invite you if you never have been to church during Holy Week. Come and see what you have been missing. May God bless us all, Fr.
